I will start and these were from lessons learnt when ordering mine so pics are of OTHER vans ?

An outside shower just left of the habitation door so ideal to soak the inside of your awning ?

A BBQ point in the centre of the awning, ideal to burn you van down if your sausages flare up ?

Hymer fitted the reading lights on my van almost in the middle of the headboard, right where your head should rest.

Isn't the water thing actually a filler point for your onboard tank, and I would be OK with the gas BBQ point there as we dont put up a full awning, just shows we all think differently.

Martin

I had a BBQ point which when in use stopped the tab door from being latched open. Exchanged FOC for a 240v exterior socket and a more sensible located BBQ point :)

On our Miller..
A BBQ point on the wrong side of the van ........It never once got used !
On our Hobby, when we got it, the shower/toilet door had been taken off and reversed
The only way to get in and out involved a lot of shuffling with opening and closing of the door at strategic times !
I put it back the right way the day we took delivery :-)

I just checked and your absolutely right ?. My BBQ point is in the middle of the awning, I have a 240v external point but like the idea of putting another 240v in its place and moving the gas point up by the gas locker, we have a full awning so we would have a gas pipe trailing through as it is.

Funnily enough a newish Spanish Aclass pulled alongside us briefly this morning, I could not believe where the owner had positioned the anchor points for his awning legs, The rear one was sort of highish on his garage door, that’s really straining the door hinges, the forward one was just in front of the hab door with it in the closed position so opening the door with the awning out it would hit the awning leg ??? Apologies for the photo it was a quick shot as he drove off, awning mounts shown by the attempt at red arrows

I think its the small thing to the left of the water filler point. Nevertheless a daft place for the filler point if you have a groundsheet down.

Previous owner fitted the solar controller at the back of the wardrobe impossible to see unless you virtually get into the wardrobe.

Davanne
Same as mine what a pain in the rectum can’t see it when I have clothes in the wardrobe

The steering wheel on the RHD side....

....every sensible MH owner knows touring on the Continent is easier. ;) :D
I beg to differ I like having rhd on the continent...means in narrow roads and going through villages I'm on the side my mirrors and awning are closest too

I've seen a few with those brackets mounted on doors and lockers

I guess it depends where the awning starts and ends

But they are very far up mine are probably level with his bottom garage door handle

As real bbq does not require a point as it's charcoal I've never seen the point of having a gas cooker outside when there's a good one inside :p

My Hymer B544 had the grey waste outlet right by the entrance!

All the new Larger Auto-trails that insist on fitting the TV between the captain's chairs making it impossible to watch telly from the two spun around comfiest seats

Mine is inside the rear locker under the bed!. You need to be a practised contortionist to ever read it. I read it by using the I-Phone to photo it and then read that!.

A car attached to the towbar of a motorhome.

??.

Whatever the water is it will be behind the door when open .

Mines under the wardrobe floor.

2004 Carioca.
Dinette seating only. No lounge area, no swivel seats.
TV cabinet with aerial/power sockets, roller shutter door, and slide out shelf directly over dinette.

PeteH thanks for that I hadn’t thought of taking picture with phone it will make life easier :)

Try to avoid creating any more trip hazards; you don't want the Harrods driver falling over with your lobster thermidor. ;)
