Our 12V tyre inflator can't cope with the pressure required for our motorhome tyres so looking for recommendations for a good 240V compressor please.

I bought one of the type recommended on here.
I think it’s made by ring.
It does get warm but is a better one as you clip it onto the battery and not cig lighter.

You might find the link doing a search maybe?

Good luck

Bugger slow typer here

We got this one
a Heavy duty pump from Amazon
451717 12V 30A Double Piston Large Volume Air Compressor Car Tyre Inflator
and this to make it easier to use

it connects direct to the battery so doesn't heat up the wiring loom

Oh yes it's £30

I've not had much luck with Ring inflaters.

I now use one of these, had it about a year. I needed it for large RV tyres running at 80 and for trailer tyres that run at 95psi. Also fat Lanny tyres . This thing copes with ease. It's brilliant and popular with off-roaders who are constantly having to pump tyres back to road pressures. IMO You cant buy a better compressor at that price. Amazon product ASIN B00Y3165VK

Ditto. Awesome piece of kit. Make sure the engine is running if you don't want a flat battery.

I've had one of these for around 8 or 9 years and still in regular use.

MAPLIN air compressor

It was commandeered at one time to charge a 25 liter compressed air tank to 115psi and could do it from empty in 7 minutes.
Did my RV tyres to 80psi no bother, now used mainly for car and garden tractor tyres..

I hate bloody Amazon links

Copy and paste in Google..... MAPLIN Heavy-Duty Car Tyre Air Compressor Inflator 12V 140psi 3m Power Cord 1m Hose

I carry two having had problems in the past. A heavy duty two cylinder one running from tbe battery, and a cordless rechargeable one which is easy and convenient for checks and top ups.

Another vote It's for Ring 900 great bit of kit , as other comments keep the engine running if doing more than one tyre

Had one of these for 2 yrs after purchasing a couple of cheap ones which were not up to the job,it’s a great piece of kit, think they are recommended by Land Rover.

Since 2008 & many years tugging
I've never had any problems with the standard Fiat one that comes with the van. When doing the rear tyres to 79psi do need to let it cool down for a bit between tyres.

11yrs, but many years a tugger.
My Ring 900 went phuttt trying to get one of my rear tyres up to 95psi. Not going to buy another, don’t like having to faff about waiting for it to cool down. Sometimes I just use my bike styrup pump, but it makes me puff, needing about thirty heavy pumps to one psi.

I thinking a small mains powered one with an air tank, any suggestions please, or one of the T Max, like what Jim has.:gum:
