I don’t know how it panned out for you, but for me, it was one of the best years of my life. Hopefully, despite the best efforts of COVID-19, you’ve had plenty of fun in 2021 too.

I predict that 2022 is going to be a big turning point in the pandemic and I think our lives and our motorhome adventures are going to get back to some normality soon

Whatever 2022 brings, I hope you wring as much fun out of it as possible and wish you a happy and healthy 2022.

A good year in retrospect. Gill and I both had major(ish) operations and they ended well. Thanking the NHS for their fine efforts.
Traveling was good in the circumstances and we saw much more of British places we had never seen before.
My new year’s resolution is more traveling.
Happy new year to one and all.
Phil

I agree thngs will be on the up.

I also was lucky enough to have what seemed like a huge drop off a cliff at the time, for it to turn it into the biggest and best thing for us. Unfortunatley not everyone was so lucky, but bouncing out of this pandemic as quick as possible will hopefully help everyone.
All the best to everyone

You had very good reasons for that being a very good year Jim and long may that continue. For us, we survived with a bit of travel thrown in, let's hope 2022 brings things nearer to normal and we can travel abroad, in particular, without restrictions.

Yes,it's been a good year ,all things considered.
The good news about Katie and most folks in fun not being seriously poorly with this covid virus.i suspect that because we are " isolating in vans" that it has not affected us all severely.
We have had some good meets and nights away this year ,in the UK. We would have gone to the EU but it appears we are not all very welcome. So staycations it is for us for the near future.
Let's hope 2022 is an even better year.

Thanks to you, Jim, and the Funster family, 2021 was pretty spectacular for me!

A few 'firsts' have inspired me to grab 2022 by the b@lls and make a lot more new memories.

I think you put it really well Jim . A really special year for you Sian and Katie. For the rest of us a year to look back on and be grateful that they aren't all like the last two. This time next year Rodders we'll all be memory millionaires

Yep , i've always said three years , myself . Personally , i think it will remain a little difficult for a bit longer , and it's highly likely we will see at least one more strain , this coming year , however i doubt it will amount to much due to Omicron . Spring i feel will be the turning point , and likely , certainly in this country at least , where it will ease as we move further into the year . I feel new strains will appear , but i doubt these will have little more impact than a common cold . Actually covid itself , will probably mutate into another strain of common cold . This is exactly how events transpired in the 1920's , with the Spanish flu outbreak , and it's this history , to which i based my original assessment of three years on . I've said it several times , here and in many other places , the Spanish flu epidemic , lasted three years , what makes people think , we will have covid done and dusted in 6 months .

So on that point , let me wish everyone here , and those not here just yet

a very happy , and prosperous new year ..

:drinks:

I work in the NHS so had a terrible 2020, however 2021 was much better even with all the restrictions. It’s really bad at the moment but I am hopeful it’s the last big wave we will see and I am positive 2022 will be even better.

Still managed 7000 miles in the Motorhome and ticked off the NC500 which was the trip of a lifetime.

Happy New Year all. 😀

2021 was pretty good for me too ...i was still in europe the first few months of it ....bought my vario , sold my hymer for s nice £10k profit , weather in Scotland was pretty good through spring summer for a change letting me get lots done to the vario build , work was steady and profitable, my health and families health was good especially mums , managed to pick up another van to escape for the winter again , fell in love with another stray so my family has grown again, caught up with old friends id not seen in a while ......yep its been a good year for me and im happy to say covid hasn't really had much of an impact on me. Heres hoping 2022 sees my Vario build completed , a good year of work , and then hopefully a year long adventure next time.

Wishing everyone a happy and successful new year .....and good health

2021 has not been a great year but it's not the worst year I've had, I'm hoping 2022 will be a better year for all of us, hopefully we will see the end of covid as a pandemic although I expect we will have to learn to live with it for many years, as we do with flu

Happy New year to you Jim and all MH Funsters
2021 was a little stinted for us due to discovering our lovely Spaniel Seve had developed Lymphoma on Christmas Day 2020 however we still managed to get a few trips in between his chemo therapy throughout the year including a trip to your lovely site Jasmin Camping sadly we lost Seve on Nov 19th 2021 after he finally lost the battle. We are over the worst but still miss him dreadfully 😢 however a new year is on the horizon and we have thousands of happy memories😊 we are ready to resume our travels as soon as able and good luck to everyone doing the same I’m sure we will meet up with some of you?🤞😊

Not a great year. Managed personally to avoid Covid as did my husband and one daughter…..everyone else has had it. My eldest daughter has had it twice, a year apart. Fortunately no one was seriously ill with it. had 4 holidays cancelled but as I see it, a holiday is a privilege not a right So I shouldn’t complain.Got away in the Moho several times for breaks on several campsites here in Blighty. Lost my father in law in December, he was 91 and very poorly so not totally unexpected. What has been difficult is sorting out the will, estate and probate. It’s all so long and drawn out, especially with the Christmas holidays. His bank accounts are now frozen so trying to sort out how to pay all the household bills whist his disabled son is still living in the house. At least they won’t cut the water off I guess :ROFLMAO: I have spent hours on hold to the DWP with varying results from …on the ball and sorted in minutes to can’t do that without his sons NI number, which we have yet to find. The woman from DWP not only sorted out his benefits going into the new account but also gave me his NI number. Why couldn’t the other DWP bloke do that ?? Especially as I am appointed person anyway. Very frustrating. Got to tackle the extortionate Sky charges at some point as his dad was paying £71 a month and £15 for some insurance on the Sky and tv !!!! Looking forward to that conversation. Absolutely everything was in his dads name even to his son not having any bank account on his own nam… got that sorted now thankfully.
Rant over….. 2 ski holidays possibly on the cards, motocross will be back soon so hubby can get back to racing and starting to plan trips on the Moho. Here‘s to 2022. :giggle::cool:

Thanks Jim and all the best to you, Sian and all the family.
Although we didn’t get across the water we had some amazing journeys around this amazing country we live in.
Wishing all in the Funster family the best for 2022 and look forward to making more great memories.👍

Ditto Jim ❤️, the icing on the cake for us was spending time with you all at Jasmin the most special moment was seeing Katie doing so well and the time she spent with Amanda it melted our hearts 💞
Fun meets in 2021 was brilliant for us being able to meet up but also keeping safe at the same time .we just wished it had finished with a big bang New year Party at Shrewsbury but hey ho it is what it is .

2022 looks exciting with all the Funster meets that are up and coming .we can't wait . Plus a special lady of ours is 40 this year .doesn't seem 10yrs since we were all partying her 30th at Stratford .
Hope you all have a fab New Year whatever you doing . Look forward to catching up with Funsters in 2022 ❤️❤️❤️🍾🥂🥳

Be careful of the Sky and take all details of who you spoke to on phone.
Had to sort out Sky for my mum after dad passed and they literally had no record of the conversation at all when the expected changes didnt go through.
Had to ask them when I was put on as the designated person and then they said I did have that conversation but the contract was transferred (rather than stopped and a new one taken out) so my mum still has to pay for what my dad took out.

Thanks for that, all advice gratefully received. He was also paying £105 to British Gas and £30 to SSE a month because , again, he had just rolled over his contracts. Nightmare.

we had similar when taking over my Mums dealings, that was over the xmas period too.
Sky were quite good though in our case, I sent them a scan of the death cert and they refunded, even though the contract says 30 days notice. They have / had a "bereavement" dept

Well not been too bad a year for us, Household covid free up to now, only blip was losing our beloved Bulldog Martha in may, only to be compensated by the new rescue Bulldog Dolly who adopted us in June. We’ve cancelled our croatia holiday for the last two years hopefully we can get away to enjoy it next year in our new to us Carthago, and to round it off we’re off to “Fun HQ” in a hour for 3 nights.

Hope everyone has a better year in 2022 and hopefully get back to some kind of normal!!
HAPPY NEW YEAR Y’ALL:xThumb:
