Webasto diesel heater

I fit chinese 5KW and 8KW diesel heaters, same thing only cheaper and more powerful.
Have remote controls to switch on or LCD Controller.
I have an 8KW in My Motorhome and a 5KW in My box van.
I upgrade the heaters fitting a stronger metal base, stronger Jubilee clips, options of tank sizes etc
Not as sha-mazing quality as Webasto/ Eberspacher but I have fitted a few and people are very happy with them. They throw out lots of heat. They pull 9A initially to light the glow plug then minimal voltage to use the fan to blow the heat around. Fuel= diesel.

Seriously looking at one myself
Tell me, how do you connect to the fuel supply
What do you use to connect the heater to the existing vents

You simply buy the fuel take off to go into the tank adjacent to the fuel level gauge, or a T piece into the fuel supply as a bodge

Most air diesel heater kits come with a 10L or 15L translucent fuel tank. These are usually too big to fit so I use 5L or 7L sized instead. You can fit the supplied fuel tank outlet or fit a top outlet pick up tube instead.
You can lower the van fuel tank and fit a pick up tube in to the main supply but that is a bigger job.

Thread here of a Nowegian member that did it.

My Webasto (fitted before I owned the van) has separate vents (2) to the Truma system. I remember Urs's thread that Lenny highlighted - joining it to the Truma ducts makes sense if done correctly

I have just bought one of the Chinese kits from evilbay. It came complete with fueltank and exhaust and I am going to plumb it into my American fifth wheel heating system as anyone that has owned RVs knows American heating systems are very good, but fuel and 12 volt hungry. By plumbing it into the original trunking I have the choice of both diesel or gas heating. The full kit was £119 complete and it looks good quality. It arrived 2 days after I ordered it, so obviously a UK supplier.

I bought a chinese one which will be fitted to my new van, will also be fitting one to my caravan when I get it.

The van one will have a remote control so I can switch it on before I go out to the van to ensure the windscreen etc is defogged in winter.

I will use a separate tank so I can use red diesel in it.
