Well not quite everywhere.

I have a 4 year old Nu Venture based on a Peugeot Expert.
During a recent alarm installation those brilliant guys at Vanbitz found water in the cab footwell under the vinyl liner which covers the floor.
It was not apparent on top of the liner and the removable carpet on top of the liner was also dry. So don't know how long it's been wet.

So I've checked the windscreen drains which look and test OK as far as I can tell.
Also checked the hot and cold water pipes which run along the back of the footwell. No signs of damage.
Stuck my head up under the dash, no signs of water there. Couldn't see behind the centre console though.
Looked under the bonnet at the firewall into the cab, can't see any holes.

So anyone got any ideas how the water is getting in.

Door seals maybe? Had that happen on a Ford and a Vauxhall, where water could pool on the outer sill whilst parked on a slope and get sucked under the seal and over the metal lip by capillary action. Solved by removing the seals, applying mastic to the metal lip and replacing them.

Could be a number of possibilities though. If you can remove trim around the affected area and sprinkle talcum powder or similar on the metalwork, you might get an indication of where water is running. Otherwise you may need to lay in the footwell with a torch whilst someone sprays water over the vehicle.

We saw one recently with a similar problem and the water entry point turned out to be between the floorpan and the nu
venture body. Last I heard it was going back to nu venture to be fixed.

@RioRob, I had the same problem with an employer's Renault Kangoo van.

I managed to trace the leak to the wiring loom, just before it entered the bulkhead from the engine compartment. Rain water was getting to one wire within the loom, tracking down into the back of the dashboard, and dripping in down behind the cab insulation. :(

Good luck finding the source. (y)

Jock. :)

Some great ideas for me to investigate.

I've got the MH booked in for a mot and service so I'll get them to look at it all.

Thanks to all so far, really appreciate it.

Once it's sorted I'll be sure to let you know the result.

Well as promised, leak being sorted.

Oh I guess you're all dying to know.
Pleased to say, nothing serious.
Drivers door seal collapsed, 1st prize to Deneb!
Seal being replaced and floorpan being dried out.
