What is the world coming to?

Sunday night we lost 7 cat converters off brand new vans and two of pre-owned ones.

Some toe rag came on site and removed them so be warned!

Any dealer looking be warned, yours could be next.

Hi Peter some questions, Are they expensive (for you or your insurers) to replace? Are they just nicking them for scrap? or are they more valuable as a cat? I take it they are easy to remove then?

Its the scrap value they're worth a fortune at the moment

I believe that they are worth anything up to £80 each, thats why any car left for along time will be collected as they are worth about £200 as follows
Scrap value of car about £100 depending on weight
Alloy wheels worth about £10 each as scrap
Then of course the Cat up to £80 I believe!

Well mines alright anyway:Rofl1::Rofl1::Rofl1:

Hi Jim,

Dont know the excact price but I bet they are £500 plus each.

Dead easy to take off the new Fiat Cabs evidentky, slide underneath, 5 minutes work, 3 nuts and a clip.

I was going to have all ours done with a mig weld on the nuts, but workshop said 'then they will hack them off and cause more damage'.

Now we are going to just remove them until they are sold. (Bit noisy moving them around, but c'est la vie.)

Bastards.

Peter
