All the gear, and no idea!
Looking for a steer on my motorhome waste pipes. They’re 40mm grey pipes and they have a very thin O ring on the pieces that interlock, BUT I can’t seem to find where to get them from, I have a weep from one of the joints after reassembling after having to drop the waste tank for a few little adjustments😉 any ideas?
Ady

Measure the O ring carefully take a mm off your dimension to allow for stretch then have a look on eBay.

I'd just but seal it with a bit of silicone but that might be why my friends call me bodget and scarper

If you have the original or the parts they fit you could try these down in Sheffield,
Hydraulics and Pneumatics on Atlas Way,
01142442704.
or
Carlton Hydraulics,
Chesterton Way, Eastwood Trading Estate,
Rotherham
01709 378999

Have you tried taking the o ring out of a b&q push fit waste fitting there are two sizes,
If there’s nobody around, there free.😃

Depending on exactly where the leak is, you might find you can seal it using PTFE tape.

You gone and done motorized waste valve ?

Those O rings really are quite slim, probably about 1.8mm in cross section and about 38mm inside diameter, domestic waste pipe O rings are around 4 or 5 times thicker. I would be tempted to withdraw the pipe and give it a smear of silicon sealant around the O ring and seat it back home. The silicone won't stick solidly to the pvc pipe and you will be able to dismantle it again.
When I replaced my broken waste pipe, I had to cut a new O ring groove in the new pipe, I deliberately didn't cut it as deep as the original as I needed to reuse the old O ring and knew it was a bit worn.

Nope waiting for you to do it for me, then we can get Lenny HB to put me a camera in so I can see it dumping👍😁😁

Yes they are very slim, that’s prob why I’m having trouble finding one, someone somewhere has got a box full of the things😁😁

Do you have a vernier/mic to measure the cross section? If you can do that I can post you a list of O rings in that range. Bear in mind that there are two lists of standard sizes, imperial and metric and once I get the x-section I can give you the correct chart.

I’ll have a measure when I get home, I would imagine they would be metric as it’s off an Adria built in Slovenia (EU and all that)👍👍

Is a small weep on a waste system worth worrying about? It will probably seal itself over time.

Geoff
Well just cleaned all the plug holes with tank fresh and about 50lts warm water into waste tank, drained it off and it’s stopped leaking at the joint👍

Is the o ring damaged? Usually it's a scratch on the pipe that causes a leak.
