We all remember those adds for fairy liquid and how long a bottle lasts.

Well I realised that I'm still using the same bottle of fairy washing up liquid that i bought when i first moved in to my frankia on the 14th September 2017.

And it's still going...

Being a solo traveller helps of course but I'm curious how long others last

Is this a record ?
Could I get featured on a fairy liquid advert ?

Nothing else to think about today Northernraider?

This will have to go into the Belly Locker. Bound to be some controversial answers!
I can't access the belly locker and I don't see any reason why it should be controversial.

It's a genuine motor home question, especially as we have people with all different types of useage etc.

I suppose it could be a bit like Triggers brush, had the same one for 10 years, it's only had 5 newbrush heads and 6 handles but still the same brush. ? ?

Dare I ask if you also have a dog:imoutahere:

:rofl::rofl:

Only joking - really.

No it honestly is the same bottle...I remember when I sold the Frankia last year the guy laughed when I was emptying it as I took my washing up liquid and my pack of dish cloths and sponges out lol.

I do have a dog actually I have 2 ....But they only do the dinner dishes and it's just a prewash....they get done properly afterwards ?

Northernraider Tam think you’re in serious need of human company for conversation having now resorted to fairy liquid and wiping one’s bum. ?
Nothing wrong with a bit of conversation. Sometimes it's the odd little things that are the most interesting.

Still no one said how long their fairy liquid lasts though

We have found that household washing up liquid works just as well as something bought for dedicated motorhome use though it does not last as long.

I’ve just finished a small one I bought in a tiny village shop in France in September 2017. It was only 250ml but we are not full time in the van !
Our washing up bowl is tiny so only a couple of drops needed. No dog in van for prewashing so use kitchen towel:)

I use normal every day fairy.

I don't go in for all that special motorhome nonsense.

Thank you so your bottle has lasted roughly the same time period as mine.

How many weeks and weekends do you reckon that's over?

I'm on approx 760 days

I might start a chart.

Northernraider - nor do I but I am sure that Le Voyager would try to sell me something special possibly at a special price.

I've had this van 2 years & am half way down my 2nd bottle of Lidl liquid... but that's only because I left the first lying down with the top open...
That's quite a consumption.....is that full time or occasional use ?

It’s about 130 days, washing up about 5 times a day as we don’t eat out and moving on, would wash up the coffee cups etc as well each time.

I'm sure our washing up liquid would last a hell of a lot longer if we didn't use a Cadac barbeque. :giggle:

I think it goes to show you have far better things to do than the washing up. Respect to you,

Where do we stand on diluting the last little bit of the bottle to stretch a bit more life out of it?
I'll let you know in 4 to 6 months .....I reckon I've still enough left for that long
