We are at the Hereford meet and the microswitch on our basin tap has gone again. We will be at the Bridlington meet next week. Can anybody recommend a mobile fitter in that area that I could contact to come and fit a new one while we are there please.

These people are only a mile or so from the site

Thanks Steve. I have phoned them but they are too busy. They gave me a number of a mobile fitter but waiting for call back.

I suspect most will be busy so would still like as many suggestions as possible.

I've got some box spanners with me of you need to get the tap out (assuming thats what the tap is fixed in with? I'm in a white Adria near to the hedge line as you enter the site. I'm near to Jaws' van if you know him?

As an emergency measure turn on another tap (any) just enough until the pump just runs then open the basin tap.
The tap you first opened will start the pump and should only be a trickle at that tap.
Don't forget to close BOTH taps when finished

The most difficult bit is getting out the tiny grub screw at the back of the tap in the corner.

Doing that at the moment.
