Difficult to say for sure, best bet is to use a spreader board and 'crawl' across it to spread the weight rather than standing up which will put all the pressure on one point on the roof. The only roofs I've ever stood on were a 2003 Rapido 709 which was made strong enough for that purpose and when we had our Fiat panel van conversions.
the biggy is how heavy are you? a question for yourself, not us. Over 50kg then not ideal without a spreader board. You also need to keep well away from any openings too as all to easy to cause a leak. Never ever put weight on any over cab pod as they split and leak
Thanks all for your comments. I should have looked in the handbook...
‘The flat roof areas, up to the over cab section, are capable of withstanding an average person’s weight (13 stone or 82.5kg).’ From the owners manual 2016. Think I will still use a piece of plywood to distribute my weight though.
Put a damp towel on first if your using plywood, to stop the ply from slipping from under your feet. It will also stop it scratching the roof. As said best to work from the side where possible.
I`ve been on the roof of both the ones I have owned, to clean the Solar panels properly?. I`m 12Stone. But the over-cab is fragile, so keep off that section?.
