My solar cable is about 1m short i miscalculated length so anyone used the wago connectors to extend cable cant see problem using them but just thought id ask the ones you can lock and unlock

You would need to be absolutely sure you get the correct current rating.

Do not just go by cable size and assume any that fit will be OK.

Personally I wouldn't. Soldered joints would be my choice or failing that proper through crimps squeezed up with a proper ratchet crimper.

From memory Wago take 30 amps
..provided you can get the thickness in they will be fine (internal)

Was gonna get proper amp wago connectors and connect in back of cupboard

My soldering is terrible even using flux i can weld better than solder which is why i thought of wago connectors

Just had a new kitchen fitted at home & total new 13amp wiring installed, the electricians used Waco connectors everywhere. Rated at 20amps 600 volts. So I use them in our MH no issues so far.

Ive used them in mine on 12v and 110/220 all inside , outside on 12v I connect and then hot glue gun seal them !

I would just get a pair of proper solar plugs and crimp them on after all that is what is fitted to most panels.

I think they are MC4 take up to 6mm loads on ebay.

I’ve used Wago connectors for extra lights and 12 volt sockets in our van.

Have used Wago connectors as above on both 12 & 240v in the wagon, have had no problems so far. Also carry a variety of different sizes as spares.

all the factory 12v and 240v wiring in our globecar seems to use the Wago 221 connectors

Have used some today on 240v lighting in our loft, they are all over our MH as standard, Techno (Andy) got me hooked on them a couple of yrs ago, best thing since sliced bread !
I know i would not be able to fit our solar cables into wago blocks though, the cable is way to thick.

Wago make lots of different types of connectors. What ones are you planning to use. The ones I found most useful are the ones that you just push each wire in and snap it shut. I think they are the 222 series. Good up to 400V and can take wires from 0.08smm to 2.5smm.

Solar plugs are only needed for outside waterproof connections you also need tool to take apart if you needed to chock block would work but wago's can be either fixed or open and close so not waterproof - mc4 connectors are waterproof but i dont need waterproof connectors so as others have used them and they do seem to work well gonna go with them provided the wires fit
