Vets in France (1 Viewer)

We are on a way back from Spain and need to get our dog wormed in France between 24 hours and four days before we hit Calais. Our route back is through MIllau, Bourges, Chartres.
Any advice on finding an english speaking VET please

Almost every town in France has a vets and do not worry if they speak English or not. just say repatriation and they will know exactly what you want. Do not expect them to be open between noon and two o'clock

an excellent facility maintained by @KeithChesterfield

we have used a few on here, La Mailleray is convenient and very good value

Chateaudun is easy parking and on your route

I can second that ,lovely man quite jovial & speaks very good english.

as for price ,can't really remember but I think about 38 euro's for 1dog (he supplied the wormer)

Just had worming treatment at Ruffec (La Faye). Dr Hans very helpful vet nurse also spoke very good English. Dropped in at 15:00 Wednesday no appt required. €35:00 for two dogs as we had tablets.

We stopped at Ballieu ,this was our first time so we just showed the reception the dog passports,vet came in 10 mins later and took us through ,none of us could communicate very well but we gave the dogs the pills ,vet signed and stamped passports ,then charged us 20.00 for two dogs ,we supplied the pills

The pills that we gave our dogs were based on "keeping it consistent" ,i did not want to give them a different brand ,the vet did tell us that they were the best available , the price for us was not an issue ,we based our decision on that ,perhaps one of our well travelled funsters can answer that one

We stayed at Camping la Grande Sologne @ Nouan le Fuzelier (great site) the receptionist phoned to make an appointment at the vets on the same day for us.

The vets are about 10 minutes drive from the campsite. Also an Aire about 5 minutes drive to the vet.

Excellent service from both the receptionist & the vets.

We used their tablet.

Last year I took our own worming tablets for the vet to administer, I wanted consistency of tablets our dog takes. I will do this again this year

We used the vet in Bailleul, the vet didn't seem to know what was needed and he no English, had to ring his wife, who spoke English and gave me the phone to speak to her, then back to him so she could explain.
€21 with own tablet and a very shaky handed vet who only sign passport.

Clinique Vétérinaire de la Gare SELARL chateaudun,bloody thief,just had 2 dogs done and she charges €106 avoid like the plague,there are others around there wish I would have choose a different 1

theres two vets in chartres we were there a few weeks ago we found them on google maps the one we used is on the north edge of town spoke good enough english to book on the phone for the next day and there is room to park outside although we walked from the campsite along the river
about 45euros

We had a little problem with a lost pet passport and went to a lovely vet in Montrieul Bellay....she charged €55 for new passport plus pre travel check and wormer which we thought was very reasonable.

I was also going to use the vets at Clermont Herault but our plans changed for your website they quoted a price of 35.00 euros (one dog own tablet), the price was not on the google map.
