Just about to enter Italy from Trieste. Considering going to Venice, any advice tips or places to stay would be appreciated.

We stayed at camping jolly but that was a very long time ago ,I believe it still is open it was great .

There is a motorhome carpark here - https://goo.gl/maps/KWHEcqXD3hEwGE9Y9

Has dump, toilets, showers and seemed fairly safe place to leave the van. A ferry across to Venice departs from across the road.

Can't remember the cost of the parking, we stayed two nights and it wasn't too bad. There is some parking across the causeway if you want to get even closer.

Found them both on CamperContact.

Lido de jesalo, loads of sites, bus that takes you to the boats across to st mark's Square all in the one day ticket, about £20

We stayed at Camping Venezia Village https://www.veneziavillage.it/en/ - a lovely campsite and good value if you have ACSI. There's a bus outside takes you straight to Piazzale Roma (takes about 10 minutes, reception sell transport passes), and there's a Lidl down the road.
Another vote for Camping Venezia we’re stayed there twice, very handy for Venice and great shower block.

There was another good thread about this - search Venice

Always stay at Camping Italy https://www.campingitaly.it/en/
Next door to Union Lido, but smaller, quieter and friendlier.
Lovely beach bar, pools, shop & restaurant with superb frontage to Adriatic. 10 mins from Punta Sabbioni.
Try and book a 'Mare' pitch.

Another vote for Venezia Village, very convenient and reasonable prices especially with ACSI.
Pitches are on the modest size but fine for all but the biggest vans.

Camping Miramare Punto Sabbioni. Not sure if still open now but fab site within walking distance of vaporetto station for ride to Venice. Love love this site and the owners are lovely.

Take yr wellies when you go......
