Hi Guys
I would obviously change a battery if I was having starting problems etc, but the original battery from new still appears fine.
Its coming up 10yr old, Bessacarr E560, nearly 30000 miles. Its been on the drive, hooked up for months now and the onboard charger seem to be doing its job fine. Not sure if the inactivity will damage a battery but the panel readout is usually12.5/13.0V
I've read some posts where vehicle batteries are been changed at only 4yrs, do you think its worth changing soon or wait until problems occur?
Thanks
Paul

Ours only lasted 4 years.

If it's on hook up 95% of the time it will start the engine even if it's past it's sell by date. Need to disconnect the hook up and monitor the voltage daily.

I posted the results on mine here, it was down to 50% after 13 days so I changed it.

Check how many days it can hold charge for without charger running or running engine, this will give you a good indication of battery state.

That's how our car battery went. Kept getting notifications of low battery but found no drains. Been ok since new battery 👍
