Finally going to pick our motorhome up today. Will go and get it round 13.00. Guy says it will take a bit to go through everything so hopefully be on the road home round 15.00. It about 500 miles home so will have our first night in a motorhome. Will probably stop round Tebay
All excited LOL

Might be an idea to film the handover (with seller's permission) as it's easy to forget information when it's given to you all at once. Hope all goes well and .... happy motorhoming!

Good luck.
Another vote for filming the handover,we found it very useful.

Beat me to it ?

So easy to forget stuff especially the stupid dials on a Truma boiler ?

Happy travels

Could be just as easy to put the phone on voice recorder. Anyway, you're bound to forget something they tell you.

How exciting.... Happy travels

Make sure you get the user manuals on base vehicle, MH convesion and all systems fitted.

Spend first one or two nights near dealer for anything you do not understand or cannot get to work.

Good luck and enjoy.

Good luck & safe travels - take enough time check everything as others have said as exciting times so easy to miss things.

Hand over was a bit of a haze. Drove home yestday and today. Finding little bits where not happy with (broken). And so bits worn out. But it is a 13yr old motorhome. Going to go right over it over the next couple of days. Then pack and get on a ferry

Broken bits? That’s what I call character ?
Enjoy your new mobile nest

Have been watching with interest, we picked out van up yesterday, didn't go great, money wouldn't clear so everything was rushed before they closed. So far a couple of broken bits and can't open the bonnet! Hopefully won't be too much of an issue. Other than that we're happy with it. We will be heading to Europe next month so will look out for you. Enjoy yourselves??

Wow you sound just like us. Our hand over. Was rushed. But we may have an advantage. Loads of campers and campsites by us might stay on one very soon and ruin a few people week asking them for help LOL. We to are off to Spain next month for 6/7 months hopefully. So go only a short time to figure things out.
