The question I would like to ask of you knowledgeable people out there in the ether. I now need to carry two electric bikes.
The choice of transportation of these bikes will not be on the back doors, but either a purpose built fold out rack i.e. something like the Vanstar offering or fitting a towbar and using the Altea folding carrier.
Has anyone used either of these set ups and experienced problems, specifically with towbar/Altea option.
Does the Altea offering tilt enough to allow the back doors to open to remove the toilet cassette. Your observations and opinions as to which option will be the best will be valued. Regarding price the towbar option is cheaper therefore is preffered at present. Any info please.

We have a van star swing out for carrying 2 Electric bikes we also have a rear door toilet compartment in our Rapido. After having 2 Towbar mounted carriers I.e Pendle and Atera Strada this may seem be an expensive alternative, but it is well worth the cost.

I have a tow bar mounted Altea bike rack on a Peugeot boxer. Able to open both doors with bikes on and remove cassette. Have 3 bike version and put 2 bikes on furthest rails

If your electric bikes have cross bars, have a look at Maxxraxx

Don't forget the added weight
Tow-bar - 35kg?
Bike rack - 15kg suitable for your 40kg-ish bikes

First time you use a towbar mounted tiltable rack you think "what a pain in the back-side"
Tenth time you think- "how did I ever manage without this"
