Hi. Can anyone please tell me the procedure for filling with LPG in Spain? I have an adapter as pictured and just used it for the first time. However, I couldn’t get the nozzle to lock on to the adapter. A fellow Brit kindly had a look and thought it may be because the adapter is brand new. He held the nozzle in place and I was able to press the green button and fill up with no further problem. There were some instructions for connection on the pump, but they were too faded to read. Should the connection be twisted to lock as in UK? Any pointers appreciated. Thanks.

My Spanish adapter has a one way valve in it. None of the other adapters do. It has worked so far but does anyone recommend drilling it out.

The non return valve can make it difficult to remove, its better without it. 😁 Bob.

Dangerous stuff this LPG...ask at the Cashier Desk if using attended service station...you only need to be shown once...and wear gloves when filling and more importantly removing the adaptor...Frost Burning is very painful indeed...👍🇪🇦

If you’re filling point is at low level ie under the skirt of the van it can be hard to hold the filling pistol square to the adapter making it hard to lock on.

Could this be the same problem the grasscutter was having in this thread the other day?

I had the same problem my adapter is the same as yours with a hole shown at the top the attendant brought theirs out and the hole was filled with a type of filter and the handle locked on no problem

Wise words. My new "dn" adaptor was ok for the first half of the fill, then suddenly blew. Luckily no one was holding the trigger. The attendant tried again, same result. Finally he went away and found their own adaptor, blaming the rubber washer. Their adaptor worked perfectly.

Sadly the two places I tried, both Repsol, had one person working and they were unable to leave the cash register! I had one full bottle so stuck with that.
