Just stayed at Uphill Camping near Weston Super Mare. What a fantastic location! Small site very quiet and the views from the van were fantastic (see pic) Two pubs in the village and a good cafe at the entrance to the site. 10 mins from the beach and plenty of country walks from site so perfect if you have a dog!
This site is only 50 minutes door to door for us so we just booked one night but will definitely be returning.
I would think this would make a pretty good stop off if you were travelling from the north down to Cornwall as not too far from the M5.
Hope this is useful.

Went there two years ago,it's a lovely little site and the cafe at the gate does really good food, but the lady who runs the site was so miserable,we would go again though.

Thanks Eddie we'll give it another go then

Would this site take RV's please?

Looks good. Thanks for the tip off. I note they say ten minutes from the beach. Presumably when the tide is out it is half an hour to the sea. :)
You are correct and I wouldnt wonder too far towards the sea/river for fear of getting stuck in the mud!!

But the beach itself is great!

We were there at the weekend, very windy but lovely sunshine on Saturday, although I woke in the night to the sound of heavy rain.

If you go down to the bottom of the page there is a clickable map which then enlarges in another tab - we were on pitch 24 right down the end but closest to gate/cafe by walking down the side of the lake.

Very quiet at night and unlit, only the occasional sound of something metallic hitting a mast - sounded a bit like goat or cow bells.

Although the site does say that there is a charge for dogs we just paid the standard rate of £21.50 per night.

They're fully booked for the Weston Air Show on 27/28 June although the site owner did say that most people would be leaving on Sunday and so it would be possible to book for Sunday night and still be able to see the show on Sunday, but with only 24 pitches I expect those Sunday nights would go quickly.

We'll definitely go back there again, great location for us with a swimming terrier!
