Hi, has anyone got experience of using security tyre defaltors as a theft deterant? Seen some online that with deflate the tyre within 400 yds if not removed before drivin.

Never heard of those, suppose you could put some nails under the tyres at an angle. o_O

Four new tyres later..... It doesn't take a lot to destroy the integrity of a tyre.
Inconvenient having remove and refit every time you go out.
A none starter in my book.... Now there's a thought, how about a decent immobiliser to start with instead of a gimmick.

a decent alarm or tracker / immobaliser will be on a par in price of 4 new tyres, and perhaps damaged rims etc.

i think a tyre deflater would be false economy and a pain in the arse..

A damaged tyre (just one) can cost around a hundred pounds and running flat would damage it. When for a very minimal sum, you could put a small hidden switch to interrupt the starting circuit or similar.
It looks a novel idea but their are many better solutions.

Tyre deflator I’ve seen takes 5 seconds to add and lock, together with wheel clamp (visual reminder to remove inflator) could be a great fix.

Professional vehicle thief will do the clamp quicker than that and won't care about running on a flat tyre.
Your choice of course

I am not trying to be negative but whatever I have to remember, sooner or later, I will forget.

With a heavy van if you run on flat tyres they will be wrecked in a few yards, could get very expensive every time you forget about them.
