Truma heater gas knob seated incorrect?

Hi ...not the biggest deal but lol....have a Truma heater. I think its a s3002p. Working great but you can see the gas knob is raised. Has anyone got one of these and is it raised or flush? I only ask as if it is supposed to be flush then it is not seated right inside. Heater front seems seated correct. Many thanks....
