Looking for a company that gives 60 days or more travel insurance can you help. Thank you

If you're just going to Europe it's worth doing a one off 60 day trip with Eurotunnel. The multi-trip is no good as that is only max 31 days.

Not sure how much a single trip insurance is but the multi trip is very competitive at less than £90 for 2 of us.

I did get 62 days with Lloyd’s bank but that’s now 31 days but that’s no good as we go 3or4 times a year for more than 6+ weeks

Try Puffin Insurance a 60day trip from £46.00 to £106 dependent
On level of insurance

Hi we have cover with Aviva,we have a world wide multi trip max 90 days max at a time. This covers long stays away in motorhome or cruise and at other types of holidays.Have never had to claim so can’t say how good it is.

Try insure and go.
You can do it online selecting level and length of cover.
Even more important as health card may not cover.

Thank you, That’s stopping me I’m 72

Try LV, 90 days cover for 65 to 79 year olds single trip cover or 90 days multi trip cover on there premier policy

We used to be with Virgin money so have a shuftie at them.

Thank you LV over 70, 90 days £148.

I have also just started with Puffin - multi trip and 62 days per trip.

I don’t know about anyone else but we have been trying to get a sensible quote for a longer trip about 150 days we both suffer controlled high BP and wife has type 2 diabetes without insulin or problems the lowest I have been quoted is £483. And some go over £1200.
Not trying to be a skinflint but it seems that as we are 67 & 66 they can charge a premium.
Has anyone got a good company they can recommend.?
And would you say that the lowest is reasonable??

If you're convinced you both have it under control why not just the EHI card and a credit it card --- if necessary?

We have always had travel insurance and for myself that would probably do bu not prepared to risk it with the wife.?

Have you tried Eurotunnel insurance? We haven't tried their single trip insurance but their annual multi trip insurance (up to 31 days) is very reasonable. They have changed the rules recently and you have to have a trip booked by tunnel at some time, not necessarily for the trip you are planning.

We'll certainly be getting a quote from them next year when we're hoping to do a longer trip.

Don't bother with Eurotunnel TI for any long trips, I did a check recently to see if it was worth using them and what would normally cost around £100 with others was well over £300!

Because that would be very silly IMV ... especially if we ever leave the EU ... a single accident can cost thousands and thousands in medical costs even if its not a major one, anything more such as needing a lengthy stay or repatriation would be eye-watering ..

Check what each insurance includes. A lot have luggage cover which we're not bothered about as we have stuff covered on our own insurance anyway and also travel delay which again isn't a major consideration for us as we at least have our own accommodation, so pare down the insurance needs and you might find the quotes are much more reasonable.

A bit different to their annual policy then! Our problem is that other companies want to charge us extra for various medical conditions but Eurotunnel don't. As long as your GP would be willing to confirm that you're fit to travel you can get cover. We've often been quoted £3-400 with other companies as well. Even when we had a Nationwide account they wanted an additional £360 to cover 2 weeks worldwide on top of the £13 a month we were paying!

I appreciate that but the account supposedly covers worldwide travel insurance! but not if you have medical conditions.
We are looking for long term travel which Euro tunnel does not cover.?

Thanks to all who have responded to my question for your info Globelink.co.uk are cheapest so far at £482.54 for 150 days.????
And for up to 90 days LV= come out at £160.99 ?

Just a warning to those who think traveling without insurance is a good idea when we were younger a friend of mine perfectly fit was involved in an accident abroad resulting in a head injury the cost of medical repatriation by low flying air transport due to head injury in 1981 was £28,000 pounds god knows what it would cost today

As I have approached both travel and European breakdown insurance renewal plus 70th birthday I have followed this thread with interest. Since resuming motorhoming in 2015 I have had a combined policy with CAMHC Red Pennant, not the cheapest but I've always found the medical side easy to navigate. Got the renewal notice this week up a bit at £395 and my first thought is that there is room to find a lower price so off I went. Contacted breakdown providers mentioned on here and quotes from approx £70 to about £125 all very good. Next travel / medical, multi trip annual with 60 days per trip. Checked with all those mentioned on the forum plus around about 40 others via comparison sites. Cheapest (and not necessarily the best) matching my needs more than £1200. Tried to negotiate reduction by removing baggage and delay cover, got me nowhere. So unless i suuddenly stumble on something unexpected it's back to Red Pennant. I should add that all though I have fairly complex medical issues they have been kept under control for more than 10 years and should not be a major issue.
