Might get you out of a bind

I've struggled more than once trying to undo the disc nut on my angle grinder due to loss of spanner.
Never even entered my mind to try that trick with an adjustable spanner, but I've tried, unsuccessfully, doing that with 1/8" sheet steel and a couple of shortened steel nails.

Yep.....I resort to a blunt drift and hammer.

The trick as I was taught it was to use long nosed pliers inserted end-on, and mole grips holding them so you can turn them.
At a pinch you can grind the tips off a couple of large diameter nails to insert into the holes.
