Hi everyone, I’m new although been watching from a distance but after all the help and advice I have read I’ve taken the plunge and joined.
I just have to say a massive thank you as I have completed so many jobs all by reading up on here
Fitted solar panel (110w ultra slim, mppt 75/10) Tidied cables
Replaced fly netting in hab door (sore fingers!)
Sealed a small leak on the waste tank
Taken apart and fixed leak in the Shurflo pump and replaced the filter
Citric acid treated the fresh water tank (in turn the waste too!)
Repaired the Heki mini blind (the worst job of all)
Swapped the cab stereo (no knuckles left!)
Gave the bumpers a treat with Auto Glym bumper and trim restorer
I had an assistant to help lift the solar panel up the ladder but other than that I’ve been flying solo, not bad for a just 50 female!
Two/three jobs left to do..... today I am fitting the Fitting Fiamma brackets in the wind out awning having hopefully bought the correct ones, ladder at the ready
I need a trim insert, can only find Herzim 17mm in white would like grey or can I combine this with my last job which is attaching a draught skirt.... maybe slot in a c shaped rail (all the ones I’ve seen are too narrow though)
Away this weekend to try the solar and rest!!!!
Thank you so much for all your wisdom, although I’ve spent loads I have saved loads too and made an 04 Swift Sundance look and work better

A great van. Worth taking care of it. Well done.
We had one of those boxes on the back. We called it the Dog Box ... Kiwi for kennel. It was so useful for storing all the “stuff“ we bought in charity shops and had shipped back to NZ.

Our first van was a 2003 Swift Sundance 590 RL, went all over the place in it, was a great intro van for us. We added solar, camos sat dome, cruise control and a Tunit box to give it a little more go up the hills.
Hope you enjoy yours as much as we did ours.

BTW - is that Webbs in your photos?

Much easier than it sounds honestly!

I gave a box in the back, lovingly called the shed!

Mine is 590RL which when I broke down and the AA man said looked like I was over 6m so he couldn’t take me..... showed him the 590RL and said I’m just under...... he said oh yeas and loaded me on..... just, at 6.2m plus box!!!!
