I think it would depend on the site owner / warden. One of the big clubs is more understanding than the other but you have to be a member.

What is the approximate cost? Are we talking a couple of quid or is the cost so prohibitive that it's just worth staying for a night?

The CCC have a facility I think they charge £5 to members you can empty your loo fill up with water use their washing machine's and have showers, I think it's for a 4 hour period, I think if you use all on offer not a bad deal.

we wild cam most of the time and 7.50 is not much to pay every few day's to dump fill and shower for three of use

A network of drainage /water filling posts in locationa around france often supermarket car parks petrol station motorway services etc. You can refill/empty in 10 mins and good to go another few days . often cost a few euros some free if on the peage. There a website that lists them or on some of the apps. http://www.flotbleu.com/ They really have motorhoming sorted out compared to us.

Travelling through France you will be spoilt for places to dump your grey/black, with a lot of them being free.

Yes forgot to say the flot bleu are usually free to empty you only pay to have fresh water or a short supply of electric that seems pointless!

All of the aires are available for free up to a few euro's. Well worth downloading the aires app ..All over France everywhere.

I think its way OTT, always use the shower in the van, all over Europe you can mostly dump for free and fill up for free or a couple of Euro, 3 Euro at the most.

This site will give you an idea of what's available and the many types ----- and they all seem to take different tokens (jetons) - purchased from various closed!!! establishments. It can be a pain in the bottom.
