Hi
Has anyone out there enjoyed any train trips thru, near, around in the Pyrenees? I thought some of the country may be a little steep for m/h and a day trip/tourist train thing may be a good option for a change from driving, any advice or good experiences?

Hi Peter only spanish trains we have been on were Salou to Barcelona, from that, and what others have said you should find them modern, cheap and clean. Like most of Europe really. Its only the UK where you get old, dirty and expensive.

Came over the Pyrannes in Jan. roads are steep but if lorries or buses can do it so can we. Sounds like a nice idea though to let the train take the strain.

hi theirs the Somport rail tunnel in the middle, failing that you could go from Perpignan to Toulouse via Puicerda, looking at google this is a very twisty route.
