Pat and I have decided that it’s time to give motorhoming up after 15 happy and well travelled years, I’ve contacted Motorhome Depot and asked them to do the sale of our Globecar Campscout for us as this will be less hassle for us.
We are taking another path in life and looking to buy a static caravan in North Wales.

John.

Hi John.. I am sorry to hear you are leaving motor homing, but assume you have seriously thought it through.
We wish you all the best in your new adventure and trust you will both enjoy yourselves in whatever you do.
All the best and safe travels
Jim and Lyn
Ps the bike is still going strong

Sad to hear but good luck with your new direction in life. Another Stoke funster I can't abuse. ?

Neckender

Will miss you at rallies with all your stories dude.
Think you’ll get bored mate and will be back on four wheels ?
And you’ll miss us at Benni ?

Can I have the self levelling system off your van ?

May the Black Widdows ride strong and safe ?

It’s been emotional ?

All the best guys. Sad that you have to leave . We are sure that the new venture will give you some peace and comfort though. We love Wales! All of it!

Kev and Carolyn

Good Luck with your future plans, what part of North Wales are you having your Static based.

Thanks Chola but I would change your pink wig.

Wow, that's a big shock John - who will keep me on the straight and narrow if you leave the Globecar Team. I can't entrust Mel Minxy Girl with that type of responsibility- she's mad :D

The only thing rarer than hens teeth is a nearly new Campscout so that'll be sold just as soon as the article goes live.

Drop me a line if you need any help from the Durham-side of the Globie family.

Best Wishes to you and that lovely wife of yours,

Andrew

Oi! I'm not mad :Eeek: ... weird maybe but not mad! ?

Best Wishes in your search for a static in North Wales John. There’s even an oatcake shop in Llandudno apparently!

Cheers Chris

Before you buy make sure it's checked for reverse polarity and had gas proof air vents.

Heck John, you cannot go ... we need you as a GOAFER on here otherwise we're gonna be outnumbered by Adria van owners! ?

Seriously, I'm sure I speak for all when I say we'll be sorry to see you go, unless of course you are gonna stick around just to tell us how great your static is - we've had a couple and they are certainly a different, and quite relaxing, type of holidaying.

Just make sure you check out all the terms etc regarding the purchase AND selling of a static as there can be hidden fees etc.

Thanks for the info Mel and I’m a paid up member until 2023.

John.

Why not put an advert on here for your camper, they are quite rare on the used market at the best of times so if anyone is after one you could find you get a quick sale and a bit more dosh to put towards your static.

Some info on static caravans here:

Nowt ... well not that I know of! :Eeek:

I just don't want him to go into static caravan ownership without knowing the ins and outs of it all ... there are a lot of pitfalls that people don't know to even ask about but if you know what you're getting into and check it all carefully it can work well ... there is another thread on the forum about when I bought my first static caravan but I'm not gonna link to it as it got a bit 'heated'!

If it’s any thing like awnings he’ll buy half a dozen before he settles on one ?

Yes, that van will be a very sought after beast!

Oh dear, the sun won’t shine in Wales as it does in Benni.
Best wishes for the future

Your timing is perfect.

My van is currently a static since the engine blew up - and it's in North Wales.

I would consider a straight swap :)

On a serious note - good luck with your plans. North Wales is lovely.

Sorry to hear you're selling the van, but best wishes for the future.

Mike
