Just a thought. Loads more motorhomers, more packed campsites, empty schools during the school holidays with facilities doing nothing. Could these be used? Could add to school funds. I think the Camping Club may already use some for rallies.

Great idea but unsure how that would work with the grey waste health & safety 😷

A number of schools around us have summer activities for pupils so could be difficult.

It’s a good idea but don’t get excited Health & Safety will get in the way!
SA used to use their Boarding schools for Summer camps-probably still do as do other countries!

The C&CC folk group had planned to use a school in Evesham over the Easter weekend but it’s been cancelled again.

There were to be many craft, music and dance workshops in the classrooms.

Fingers crossed for 2022!

It’s a great idea using schools, I think 😀

The schools at sunny hunny already do this every year, even the private school.

Lots of schools in Kent are used by the Camping and Caravan Club regularly. They're usually in good locations for motorhomes.

Great idea an a bit of lateral thinking, I know one small town that is opening its school car parks during weekends and holidays due to a larger influx of visitors rather than have its roads blocked and double yellows being painted everywhere which ultimately affects the locals when they have visitors.

The CAMC centres have been using schools for many, many years for rallies.
Not now though due to Covid.

We are all different, I can't think of anything worse than parking in a schools grounds with a load more vans.

It’s not as bad as it sounds.

We have been to a few C&CC ths at schools, all of them have been on large fields well spaced out, and in good locations.

It does offer a cheaper place for families who might not be able to afford the price at the coastal sites. Everyone is different.

Depends on the School we stayed at the CCC temporary holiday site last summer at Well next the Sea, huge open playing fields and 5 minutes walk to the sea. Great setup, cheap and most coastal sites would have been full or had minimum night stays.
