Have you seen the electric ones? I was on a site last week and a couple with a Hymer had one, he said top speed around 120 mph but 0 - 60 3 seconds! Range 150 miles.
surely designing an electric Harley misses the whole point of the engine sound produced by 120 cubic inches, it’s about all a Harley does produce mind.

and the performance stats of the electric version are not exactly Hyabusa level….

I don’t work for Harley Davidson and have no influence over what they produce :giggle: I think they've stopped making them now and they are marketed under another brand name. (y)

And now for something entirely different I've just bought this.
Arrives next Thursday

I rode it for the first time today.
It was good but don't expect to overtake anything except buses. Handling is not good but the tyres aren't either. Suspensions good but some yumps hit my spine. Lots of development needed but I can't wait. Many engine tuning bits on order. Looking for 30 hp at the wheel.
It's looking a site better without the racks and luggage

I've just fitted a new unrestricted exhaust to mi Enfield
I've always loved a swept back pipe and also fitted a genuine Goldstar silencer from Amour's.
It looks wicked but it's bloody loud, I've forgotten how loud a 500 single can be. :Eeek:

Ive bought a Chinese copy Mikuni 32mm carb from eBay which actually looks amazing for £38.
It even comes with a set of jets that seem pretty close to an optimum mixture already
I had a new throttle cable made up yesterday and hopefully I'll be able to fit it today.

Many, many years ago, I used to have a Dot scrambler and when I lived, the early 70's in Australia, I had a Suzuki Autocross, both would go anywhere!
My stomach with not fit these pregnant fuel tanks they now fit! 😄

I love Triumphs as I own a 1976 750cc Triumph Bonneville T140v and a 2002 900cc Triumph Thunderbird.

John.
WellI own 4 Ducatis all older ones ,The Classic monster is the most Beautiful and a Kawasaki Z900 I like older HDs and old British bikes ,, dont like the new Triumphs as tthey look great but are horribly sterile to ride

you've got an Enfield India to which you're trying to fit a Chinese ripoff carb, might you need to reconsider your level of expectation :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
Oh yea of little faith.

Its early days yet and I will get it running properly -------- eventually :hugs:

I'm going to the Classic Show tomorrow at Stafford so it will be after the weekend:drinks:

It was a CV carb but I've just swopped it for a bigger Mikuni ----- There in lies the problem
How much bigger? One smaller than the CV carb will still flow more air as CV carbs tend to be slightly oversize (because of their principle of operation they need to be).

Most (carburated) singles pop on the overrun because they're pulling hard on the pilot which can't supply enough fuel and causes weakness under those circumstances. Setting Idle mixture as rich as possible will reduce it.

My first "proper" bike (after a moped) was an AJS 250. It was nothing to look at but when I took it apart (as you do when a teenager with a bike) I was amazed by what I found. Conrods built from aluminium tubes with cast iron ends, hairspring valve springs, wet multi-plate clutch and of course the perfection of a hemispherical combustion chamber.

The beauty of the bike was all internal. :)

It's a Chinese Mikuni 32 mm..
I only fitted it this afternoon so didn't have any time to mess. I'm happy it is responding to the pilot air screw but I then found that the pilot air jet had no hole in it. It had not been drilled ?? :Eeek:
