Well,

I have finally found a source of Hella Headlight units for the Lady and have got 2 at the moment.

Seems they are still readily available at a VERY reasonable price.
Only 2 more to get and I'll be happy with the lighting on "The Beast"

I am surprised how helpful some people can be when you mention you are in the process of bringing an old American RV up to scratch.

Hopefully she'll be ready for the MOT when I receive the other parts.

Then it's time to turn my attention to the "brightware" and cosmetics.

Oooh such a labour of love.

Mine are 165mm wide x 100mm high.

If that's the size of yours I can point you to a supplier.

Nice and bright with Halogen Bulbs John.:Eeek:

Looking closer Yours look a little more "rounded". The headlights that is?

Hi Steve I think that they are pretty standard light units that were widley used in the automotive industry

When I replaced the sealed beam units in my Allegro I took the unit out and my local motor factor managed to source and supply 2 bulbed units with bulbs at about £80 the pair.

To fit them I had to remove a metal tag on the rear for them to sit in the carriers.

Regards Pat

 Looks CAN be deceiving. The same ones are fitted to the Gulfstream Crown Regis.

 Wish MINE were so easy to replace.

So which lights were fitted to your Crown Regis and from where?

 I got some new ones from MobileRV. Cost a fortune and they were no different to the originals. But they passed the MOT. They have since passed another twice with another owner. He is now looking (or has) to upgrade.

Hi John,

Give me all the numbers off the lens and I'll see if I can get some.Hard to see from the pic.:thumb:

BTW I only paid £24.35 each plus vat for mine from the supplier AND these were GENUINE HELLA units. No delivery on top.
