It's still blowing a hooli, but it's 27C and the sun is shining. The El Raco facilities have been updated and are now seriously good, the showers in particular providing an adjustable torrent! The wifi is excellent, provided one is close enough to the transmitters, and all is well with the world. We visited the recently opened 'Bamboo' restaurant last night, right on our doorstep. All you can eat and drink, and I mean all, for €13.95. Length of stay limited to 2.5 hours, the service was quick and the food hot and excellent.

We went down to the beach this morning and stopped in our favourite bar for a coffee, cake and large brandy. €5.80 for two!

The view from the bar...

Here's the Godbotherers' palace just above the town.

We went to the El Cisne market afterwards: how's this for openers?!

Sooo so happy for the ones who enjoy this sort of place. Not our cuppa tea, but ...

Have a great holiday 😊

Yeah, more information please.

We were actually meant to be flying out Monday but I didn't want to go on the flight.

It's on our list to drive down

We're at Torreta.

Used the tunnel and drove through France (about 3 tanks of diesel and you're there).

Site is €16/night plus metered electric at 40c/kwh. (45 night price)

The toll road down through Spain is now free 👌

All fantastic free to see acts and there's hundreds more 😍
If you haven't been, it's nothing like you see in the media, where we go anyway. It's an enourmos city, without the scooter we'd only see a tiny part of it.

Glad to see things are picking up again in Benidorm. its incredibly windy here today in Mazarron, just hoping that when the sulphur cloud passes over Spain tomorrow (as a result of the volcanic eruption on La Palma) there is no rain otherwise it is likely to be acid rain. I’ll be stood outside with the hosepipe at the ready to wash the van down!

Three very good reasons not to go
And 3 good reasons to go, the Rock n Roll bar is a very good night if that’s your thing and it’s ours 😉

Each to their own but we love Benidorm and we’ll spend the winter out their starting in just over 3 weeks, can’t wait tbh

Thanks for the photos John Barrett & Richard n Ann 👍

It's not ours but we have been to Benidorm a number of times over the years, something for everyone there.

I couldn't spend more than a few days there though.

You’re correct it’s not for everyone but we’ve met people who were put off from going due to reading negative comments usually from people who have never been and who absolutely loved it once they’d been.

If you can’t find something to like/do in Benidorm then you must be dead, there is something for everyone of every age.

And this is a big thing for us, it’s open throughout the winter and their is a lovely atmosphere, that and hopefully lovely sunny days is the icing on the cake

We won’t stay all winter as we like to tour around but will have a chunk of time their

Al 👍

I'd love to go to Benidorm as I've never been. my wife thinks I'm crackers for wanting to go.
Have a great trip all.
With those prices for what you get, it's a bargain compared to other places.
Although I would want a wider pitch if I went in the motorhome.

She might not be so keen on the topless bars

Everyone knows our thoughts on Beni - nowhere else is so cheerful and busy in the darkest winter months, with beautiful blue skies, walking, cycling, The Old Town, restaurants, tapas bars, fantastic free entertainment, not to mention a brilliant bunch of Funsters to enjoy it all with!

We would love to go down there but it could only be possible for us during the school summer holidays and I don’t think I could cope with the heat at that time of year .

God, that looks like hell! Now I know where I won't ever be going!

There's some big pitches at the bottom of the site, they flood after very heavy rain though.

I like Benidorm.

I don’t really go to the music places or indeed topless bars but I just like the vibe and the beach is lovely.
