They've run out of stock and rather than remove the Ad. altogether, they put a price on
the item to 'stop' customers from placing an order.
Even Tesco do this at the end of the Summer season.

Not sure whats going on but sometimes on ebay 120k motorhomes are advertised by dealers for 999k ???

There must be a reason for them to do it but I've no idea what it is 🤷‍♂️

They are out of stock, It costs them to relist once they're back in stock so they put the price up to stop anybody buying.

But they are often new listings, I always click on the filter for new listings and they appear

For Business users they create salient benefit in having the number of units sold on their listings ie: 600 sold, a competitor might have 33 sold trying to break into your business but the buyer nearly always chooses the established seller, it you delist an item you loose all those sales off your listing hence the reason to keep the listing but sell nothing until you have stock.

Be aware of the inflatable stuff, we had a tent with inflatable struts and on a hot summers day a strut exploded and that was that. No way I could take it back to Go Outdoors from here (n)

Obviously I should have been aware that air expands in heat but I guess I just thought that inflatable camping equipment was designed to deal with heat differences. Saggy cool nights and explosive hot days.

Which reminds me that when I was spending a lot of time in the tropics I witnessed an inflatable tender go 'POP' on the beach, same problem, possibly pumped up at night and then exploded on the beach at 14:00 hours, no way back to the boat, just stuck at the beach bar

Never heard of this before.

We've had inflatable air-beam type awnings for years now. Never had a problem. Vango has separately inflated beams while Kampa Dometic have isolation valves so the whole thing doesn't cave in if one beam deflates. Never had Outwell, Westfield, Outdoor Revolution, or any of the others. Prefer Dometic, but they are not cheap.

I can see the logic of not inflating when it is cooler, but you should never inflate until it is rock hard anyway.

I suspect a lot of people don't check the pressure and just keep pumping away until it's firm (stop sniggering you smutty lot! :giggle:), I am always careful with my inflatable kayak, I don't check the pressure with a gauge but after so many years of use I know how hard to get it without overdoing it and when it's not on the water (which helps keep the air inside cool) it's kept out of the hot sun and if this isn't possible it's deflated a bit.

On ebay the listing renews every month so may show as new.
Some sellers do this to keep the history live. They may have sold 1000 items and want people to see they have sold lots. It also keeps the listing visible, when stock levels go to zero the listing is hidden.

Used to price myself out of jobs regularly. Common practice.

Here in the winter don't leave bottles of coke in the MH fridge, minus 20 for a few nights and then a thaw........then a sticky mess as the coke freezes expands, splits the plastic bottle and then thaws and covers the fridge in liquid sugar.

Nice ;)

We once had a mess when a bottle of shampoo froze and popped the top ... it made a hell of a mess of the washroom cupboard!

I've had "floppy tender" syndrome in the mornings but by lunchtime it's rigid as a board.
Can you use gaffer tape to fix this, it seems to work for everything else?
