Hi folks

Looking at going to Italy later on in the year transiting through Switzerland. As my motorhome is 5000kg I need to get a proof of payment for the lump sum heavy vehicle charge from a manned customs office.
My entry point will be Saint-Louis / Basel.

Does anyone know of any in that are that are open over the weekend?

All you need to do is park up at the border, go in the office and ask for the form for the over 3500kgs motorhome. For about 32 euros they will give you a form with 10 spaces on, so every day you re in switzerland ( or just if you using the roads if you re like me) you fill a space in. very easy and your 10 days can be taken for the next 10 days so if you re transiting you can use days on the way out and days on the way back.
