We have a situation where when we turn on a tap and the water pump kicks in, some of our lighting flickers on and then off again. I think it is the lights that can be dimmed that are affected. Anyone experienced this or have thoughts on a resolution?

Thanks

Probably due to low voltage and your battery is starting to fail. When you turn on the pump the load causes the voltage to drop & it's dropping too far for the lights to work correctly.

One thing I did not say is that even when the lights are switched off they can still blink on and then back off again. Surely this would not be down to low voltage?

Have you tried it when on EHU then the batteries will be at 13.8 - 14.4v.

If it still does it you could try fitting a 10uf capacitor across each LED, it would mean taking them apart and soldering it on. if that works but they stay on a while when switched off reduce to 1uf.

The problem I describe is when on EHU.
