Strange Avtex Tv issue (1 Viewer)

Hi,
I am having a strange issue with my Avtex L217DR 18 inch Tv its just over 2 years old and when you operate the remote to say change the volume up which ever button you press afterwards will still up the volume, after about 10 minuets you can operate another button, its a real pain if you turn it on with the remote and then go to change channel as it switches off, and you have to recycle the power to turn it on again, this issue is the same on all buttons it seems to stick on the last pressed button, its not the remote borrowed another same problem, its not sunlight interference, also it takes along time to tune 15 mins for digital terrestrial and over 30 mins to tune to just FTA on Astra 2 satellite, I am not using the blind search function.
I have spoken to Avtex who gave me the master reset code which makes it ok for about 10 mins then the issue reappears.
Anybody else experienced anything like it ?

In my humble opinion... there is some circuitry that is on it’s way out...
and it will probs be something to do with the infra-red remote reciever bit...

Espec if a reset “cures” it temporarily...

I’d get back onto Avtex about it... whilst symptoms still show..

I think it will ultimately have to be returned ... for a swop/repair...

Yes that was my thoughts, I have already contacted Avtex and its being collected for repair.

mine does the same.. 12 months old next week.
I swore never to buy Avtex again as they seem to last the warranty period, and a week later die..
Had three like that and Avtex repair charges are silly expensive

@Jaws i think they have a 2 year warranty. You post to them and they return within 3 days.

3 Year Warranty from 2013 and they collected it.

Ahah ! So they tv's do not even get to the end of the warranty now !!!

The Tv was collected by Avtex on Tuesday and delivered back on Friday seems it was a software issue, they did supply me a spare remote just in case, all working fine at the moment.
Excellent service.
