Stopover between Mataro and Valencia

We will be travelling from Mataro (Camping Barcelona) to Javea, which is about 300miles, would like to do a stopover about half way, and before Valencia, could anyone suggest a stopover please?

Coll Vert just 7 km South of Valencia isn't too bad ASCI and 7 for 6 too
nice bike ride into Valencia cycle path along the beach all the way

Benicassim is worth a visit - small town nice beach and restaurants....

We've used this. It's a quiet dark sky Aire with good facilities except for a braying donkey that can't sleep. We would use it again. It's off the beaten track out among the paddy fields, park near the buildings but away from vegetation.

If you want to try what I believe is the best camping site in Spain and is on Acsi try Bravoplaya camping resort outside Oropesa.

Camping Didota, ACSI 16€ just north of Valencia by about an hour and right on the beach, nice restaurant and walks along the coast.
