Feel like an old timer
I often wonder if I am a bit OCD, I don't use the acronym or initialism lightly as I know its a syndrome of which I am part of and has both its good and bad sides. But is my stockpiling at bit over the top? Spare gas for the MH and BBQ charcoal? Oh the orange balloons are a butane/propane mix for the summer and the grey/green is propane for the winter!

A reinforced cage might help with this. Insurance company might suggest negligence otherwise ?

I think we all have this behaviour in us to different degrees. When you run out of something in the past you tend to get a stock of it up so it doesn't happen again.

Even with money, when you've been skint in the past it turns you into a saver raver 😏

You can see how this trait would evolve into us, cavemen that built up a stock of firewood would survive the harsh winter and their genes would go on to the next generation.

You're obviously keeping an eye on it getting out of hand by starting this post so you're not OCD at all 👍

You're location is the Baltics, yes?
That being the case, whilst your approach might be seen as OTT for people like me who are rarely more than 30 minutes from a B&Q or Petrol Station, it would be interesting to know how easy it is for you to re-stock.

An interesting point and yes I am northern Baltics. General stocks, fuel, gas, food is actually all within 30 minutes but not necessarily in the direction I want to go. But more to the point is we can get snowed in so we do carry 6 months supply of everything, excepting that we will run out of bananas 🍌

No looks normal to me albeit sizes on the small side. I use 2 x 12,5 kg bottles ,one for the kitchen & one for the apartment kitchen & the 2 x bathrooms. I keep 6 x spare full bottles :giggle: . & the Repsol gas man delivers every Monday if you need any.:giggle: Cepsa ones I have to go & get.

You can't have too much of anything.

Seems perfectly reasonable then. You are obviously used to having to think ahead and be prepared. We too can get snowed in when a couple of snowflakes fall :ROFLMAO: but thankfully at the most, a couple of days.

That is some stock of flammable material. I hope the store is well Labeled and isolated from you and others.
When we was kids there was always some one welding cars or something at the bottom of the gardens with bottles that they had borrowed from work and nobody batted an eye lid, or mentioned health and safety.

I completely agree (as you can see) :giggle:, I usually try and buy at least two of everything and the same make and model. Like chainsaws, garden tractors etc, I then have spare parts.
I also take the view that pretty much everything is just getting more expensive, so if you can, buy it now. I am lucky that I have a lot of space so when I see something going for a good price I buy it all, one barn has the whole attic full of polystyrene sheets!
I think I have a bit of doomsday prepper in me as mentioned in post #5; no need to go to the USA, just need to dig a bunker, many houses here have root cellars in the garden but sadly not this house, but I have concidered digging one out, to store potatoes and apples and hide after a virus escape.

When was the last time anyone heard of a petrol station store or come to that, a motorhome, going with a bang.
As long as the taps are securely off there's no risk that I see.
A good point too; last time I bought propane I could see there were hundreds and hundreds of canisters stacked up in a warehouse and that was next to a petrol station!

Just reminded me back in the 80's driving down through Spain and the petrol attendant filled up my car smoking a cigarette.

Happy days....

There are scarey TV programs about hoarders
I keep tractor parts not body parts o_O Best stay away from Northern Baltic's just to be safe anyway, I would hate to see too many Motor Homes clogging up my isolated camping grounds.

As long as the storage is well ventilated and you can’t smell any gas you’re ok.

Not OCD, the bottles would be stacked in order of size or colour but not both and the charcoal in neat piles, but definately a hoarder.

Hoarders tend to collect rubbish though. I worked in a hoarders house once, there were even empty pop bottles being saved. There was a path through every room where you could walk, but every other part of the room was filled with old junk and rubbish.
