Spain wants us back but not till march.

Hope so April May June lovely time to tour, not too hot and not too busy. 😁

We will see what happens, we have taken 6 weeks bookings on our apartment, and don't really want to be returning deposits again, 😲 and we do feel for the people that can't come. 🙂
But it will be in people's minds for a long time, and care will have to be taken. 🙂 Bob.

The loophole is if you cross into Spain by driving over the French border. The PCR test is only being policed at the air & sea ports.

Yes, I’ve posted that we have a ferry booked to Spain, France as a backup. If things stay the same. We will travel through France

I don't think looking for loopholes is in the spirit of things. Imagine if UK had a stricter limit and forriners were finding loopholes ?

Spain wants to keep its folk safe.

But if they put nobody at the French/Spanish border to show the test to then the Spanish cannot be too concerned about the test.

I thought from the headline that this might hav been about cancelling the 90/180 rule. But no.

That is " without restrictions" You can travel now.

It isn't a "loophole" there isNO requirement for a pcr test when travelling by road, horse, walking , anything except by air or sea.

As above.

How many 'Illegals' arrived in the Canaries this year?.... More than the UK !

I seem to see many YouTube videos of people claiming to be travelling around Spain at the moment completely free from any travel restrictions and almost “ rubbing it in “ about how warm the weather is . How are they able to do this in the current situation ?

Why are you concerned ?

Yes that's correct, they are posting videos, and yes they are rubbing it in, and continue to carry on as if the Covid 19 restrictions do not apply to them. I contacted the Guardia Civil here in Murcia to get clarification on the rules, I was informed then and continue to get update from various sources that its acceptable to arrive in Spain and Transit to your pre-booked Campsite/Camperstop. On arrival there you are required to remain there until either your return date home or when the State of Alarm has been ended.
What many are doing, including those in these Youtube videos are without doubt just moving around from region to region, and in one case into Portugal for a while and back into Spain as if its acceptable.
Their actions and preaching to many that this has been given the green light by the authorities is very misleading and totally incorrect......they have been stopped and allow to continue on their journey, but the one video I have seen, feature a couple who admit to not understanding Spanish and the Officer spoke no or very little English, so he was most likely advising of the rules which they clearly failed to understand.
My message continues to be as before, don't get sick, being confined to your motorhome with Covid 19 unable to leave is not the best of ways to enjoy your holiday, and even worse, being admitted to hospital in Covid isolation without your travel partner able to visit remains very worrying indeed.

We have alot of motorhomes here, all nationalities free parking, they should be heading for their destination, but if they do is another thing. 🤔
I would not say the Spanish are not bothered about covid, they have been trained to abide by the rules, unless you have money to waste you stick by them. 😁

I don't go in shops very often only supermarkets, but Janie mentioned even the Chinese shop scan you to check your temperature, she went to the hair dresser yesterday, she scanned her, the chair was deep cleaned and they both wore masks, and it's been like that from the start. 🙂

I think if anyone is positive tested you would be made to self isolate, and they would make sure you did, you couldn't sneak of in the night 😲 they would hunt you down, 😉 and remove all your money and maybe more. 😁
All joking aside, yes they take it very seriously. 🌡🙂 Bob.

If you travel by road through France are the campsites in Spain asking for a COVID test ?

Maybe they've recognised the lower risk of personal transport so they re focussing their resources in places that are likely to have a higher strike rate - airports, railway stations etc.

I think foreigners have already found the loophole to enter the U K

They just come across the channel in a small boat 🤷‍♂️

Yes that is correct. Massive penalties for going out when supposed to be quarantined.

I'm not condoning their behaviour or suggesting that it is correct, but you don't see them attending mass gatherings or acting in irresponsible ways.
As to acting as though the Covid 19 restrictions do not apply, they are far more compliant than the hordes you see reported almost nightly on UK news channels.
I've seen a few of the youtube videos and they all seem to be acting in a sensible and responsible way, keeping themselves to themselves or within their own "bubble", when coming close to others they wear masks and observe social distancing.
If they are unfortunate enough to contract Covid it is likely they will regret being where they are, but don't forget a fair proportion of them live full time in their vans and don't have a permanent home base.

We are actively looking at campsites in Spain for at least a 6 week booking as i believe as long as you have a confirmed booking we are allowed to transit across Spain. This information I have acquired from the spanish tourist info they have on the official website.
it’s just a shame I cannot get the northern Spain ferry’s to work within the Spanish requirements of a COVID test.
So it’s all down to macron opening up France On the 15th dec.

Maybe because they are being irresponsible.

In your opinion, as previously said, they are observing the rules better than most.
But breaking the rules of Transit that currently exist in Spain....this has been posted on here by myself which clearly has not been followed by the couple in question...I have via YouTube brought this to their attention, but my comments there have been ignored and deleted....this in itself highlights their intention to continue without a care for others or the law...

Not forgetting that we only “ see “ what they choose to put in videos . Can we be sure they don’t break any rules ever , just because they don’t film it and post it on YouTube ?

I have been walking the coastal path today, I have seen 6 Spanish and 2 French motorhomes, I would say the Spanish are in the boundary of the Valencia community, so not breaking any rules, we can go anywhere in this area.

So a large area, the French I think are allowed as tourists providing they go to their destination, none of them were up to no good and their behaviour was not the normal camping don't give a $*** attitude. 🙂 Bob.

Spain's Official Tourism Website (last updated 04/12) paints a different picture though. If the restrictions are on the site they need digging for (I didn't spend hours looking TBF).

Tourist welcome with open arms to a safe holiday destination it says - No wonder people are confused.

Yes & that is mainly for airline passengers as that is where the stated "source" is from AENA the airports group. There is nothing in it about closed regional borders, restricted to municipalities, etc.
The rules are simple.
You can come to a previously booked site/accommodation.Once you arrive you are the same as us . You cannot leave pre booked accommodation to go to other pre booked accommodatio as it stands at present.
You cannot leave the municipality you are in.Until tomorrow here & in other regions later in the week.. Then you cannot leave the region you are in.

Why would tourists, MH's in particular, think they can arrive here & travel around when the locals can't ? What part of the logic do they not understand?
