The loophole is if you cross into Spain by driving over the French border. The PCR test is only being policed at the air & sea ports.![]()
PCR for Spain
As it says you need a PCR certificate to enter Spain by air or port. I have been told as I am entering by road I do not need a PCR certificate as anyone else heard of this. Going on 6th January, what do I need to drive through France. Thank youwww.motorhomefun.co.uk
Yes, I’ve posted that we have a ferry booked to Spain, France as a backup. If things stay the same. We will travel through FranceThe loophole is if you cross into Spain by driving over the French border. The PCR test is only being policed at the air & sea ports.
I don't think looking for loopholes is in the spirit of things. Imagine if UK had a stricter limit and forriners were finding loopholes ?The loophole is if you cross into Spain by driving over the French border. The PCR test is only being policed at the air & sea ports.

It isn't a "loophole" there isNO requirement for a pcr test when travelling by road, horse, walking , anything except by air or sea.The loophole is if you cross into Spain by driving over the French border. The PCR test is only being policed at the air & sea ports.
As above.I don't think looking for loopholes is in the spirit of things. Imagine if UK had a stricter limit and forriners were finding loopholes ?

I seem to see many YouTube videos of people claiming to be travelling around Spain at the moment completely free from any travel restrictions and almost “ rubbing it in “ about how warm the weather is . How are they able to do this in the current situation ?
Not concerned , more confused reallyWhy are you concerned ?
Yes that's correct, they are posting videos, and yes they are rubbing it in, and continue to carry on as if the Covid 19 restrictions do not apply to them. I contacted the Guardia Civil here in Murcia to get clarification on the rules, I was informed then and continue to get update from various sources that its acceptable to arrive in Spain and Transit to your pre-booked Campsite/Camperstop. On arrival there you are required to remain there until either your return date home or when the State of Alarm has been ended.I seem to see many YouTube videos of people claiming to be travelling around Spain at the moment completely free from any travel restrictions and almost “ rubbing it in “ about how warm the weather is . Maybe they've recognised the lower risk of personal transport so they re focussing their resources in places that are likely to have a higher strike rate - airports, railway stations etc.But if they put nobody at the French/Spanish border to show the test to then the Spanish cannot be too concerned about the test.
I thought from the headline that this might hav been about cancelling the 90/180 rule. But no.
Geoff
No I got here a couple of days ago but we were told we cannot leave the regionIf you travel by road through France are the campsites in Spain asking for a COVID test ?
I think foreigners have already found the loophole to enter the U KI don't think looking for loopholes is in the spirit of things. Imagine if UK had a stricter limit and forriners were finding loopholes ?

Yes that is correct. Massive penalties for going out when supposed to be quarantined.I think if anyone is positive tested you would be made to self isolate, and they would make sure you did, you couldn't sneak of in the nightthey would hunt you down,
and remove all your money and maybe more.
No.If you travel by road through France are the campsites in Spain asking for a COVID test ?
I'm not condoning their behaviour or suggesting that it is correct, but you don't see them attending mass gatherings or acting in irresponsible ways.Yes that's correct, they are posting videos, and yes they are rubbing it in, and continue to carry on as if the Covid 19 restrictions do not apply to them. What many are doing, including those in these Youtube videos are without doubt just moving around from region to region, and in one case into Portugal for a while and back into Spain as if its acceptable.
Their actions and preaching to many that this has been given the green light by the authorities is very misleading and totally incorrect......they have been stopped and allow to continue on their journey, but the one video I have seen, feature a couple who admit to not understanding Spanish and the Officer spoke no or very little English, so he was most likely advising of the rules which they clearly failed to understand.
My message continues to be as before, don't get sick, being confined to your motorhome with Covid 19 unable to leave is not the best of ways to enjoy your holiday, and even worse, being admitted to hospital in Covid isolation without your travel partner able to visit remains very worrying indeed.
When travelling south there are plenty of places to park up overnight, whether you go via Madrid or via Salamanca and Carcares. If you travel by road through France are the campsites in Spain asking for a COVID test ?
Maybe because they are being irresponsible.I seem to see many YouTube videos of people claiming to be travelling around Spain at the moment completely free from any travel restrictions and almost “ rubbing it in “ about how warm the weather is . How are they able to do this in the current
In your opinion, as previously said, they are observing the rules better than most.Maybe because they are being irresponsible.

But breaking the rules of Transit that currently exist in Spain....this has been posted on here by myself which clearly has not been followed by the couple in question...I have via YouTube brought this to their attention, but my comments there have been ignored and deleted....this in itself highlights their intention to continue without a care for others or the law...In your opinion, as previously said, they are observing the rules better than most.
Not forgetting that we only “ see “ what they choose to put in videos . Can we be sure they don’t break any rules ever , just because they don’t film it and post it on YouTube ?But breaking the rules of Transit that currently exist in Spain....this has been posted on here by myself which clearly has not been followed by the couple in question...I have via YouTube brought this to their attention, but my comments there have been ignored and deleted....this in itself highlights their intention to continue without a care for others or the law...

Yes & that is mainly for airline passengers as that is where the stated "source" is from AENA the airports group. There is nothing in it about closed regional borders, restricted to municipalities, etc.Spain's Official Tourism Website (last updated 04/12) paints a different picture though. If the restrictions are on the site they need digging for (I didn't spend hours looking TBF).
Tourist welcome with open arms to a safe holiday destination it says - No wonder people are confused.
