As it says you need a PCR certificate to enter Spain by air or port.
I have been told as I am entering by road I do not need a PCR certificate as anyone else heard of this.
Going on 6th January, what do I need to drive through France.
Thank you

What I will add is this.

records show that 0.4 % of infections come from outside of Spain.

Yet, spain continues to kill its tourist industry.

OR ! are the Spanish trying to protect its tourists ?
This is really interesting.......... What is the source of your 0.4% figure, please?

I don’t think the question has really been answered as the op is driving through France. We will be doing the same from Calais, perhaps through Belgium, Luxembourg and Germany to finally Spain. Please don’t worry that we might spread anything - we are not very sociable and have a personal space of over 2 metres- lol.

I can’t recall , I think it was here...

I’m on my phone, the page is on my laptop. I will check later

Thank you for this link to the in depth report published by the Lancet. It does not make easy reading for the lay person. Fortunately, I am not unfamiliar with such publications, having a Masters Degree in Public Health Medicine and (although now long retired) during my NHS career an involvement in a number of epidemiological studies and research projects. I have re-read this publication but I am not able to find any reference which might support your assertion that only 0.4% of infections come from outside Spain. Obviously the initial cause of infection came from outside of Spain. I presume that what you were seeking to demonstrate is that currently 99.6% of the spread of Covid is internal community transmission and that hardly any is the consequence of tourism.

If I have missed some relevant finding in this Lancet publication, do please let me know.

Hi,

I am on my laptop trying to find the document. My Nephew and Grandson have been on and closed the browser,

Secretary of State for Transport Grant Shapps shared the latest travel corridor updates on his Twitter page.

He wrote: "Data indicates weekly cases and positive tests are increasing in the CANARY ISLANDS and so we are REMOVING them from the #TravelCorridor list to reduce the risk of importing COVID-19. From 4am Sat 12 Dec, if you arrive from these islands you WILL need to self-isolate."

But for my mates they can come & go without quarantining.
