So we are hoping to cross through the tunnel Sept 5th and heading to Roses Spain for the start of our 90 day tour and today the missus has suggested a couple of nights at a coastal campsite in Southern France.

So have you more experience travellers got any suggestions for us please,we like coastal resorts, very close to a town or village as I’m bad walking these days, bars & restaurants a must. A site bar/restaurant would be nice and good access as we are 9mtrs. We‘ll be heading down the A75 route so over to you guys n gals and thanks for any offerings

BTW will France still be open?

Al 👍

Adge is on the coast and en route from the route south through France on the way to Spain. There is a nice aire there opposite a campsite virtually in the town centre and there is a huge market on Sundays.

thanks i’ll check this tomorrow, have you stayed there btw?

Yes in a static and a few members have also stayed there as far as I can gather. See thread Guinea Pig Mark two

MITHRANDIR is there now I believe

I also understand they reduce rates in September if you have the ACSI card

Aire at Adge near the town, beach and markets

The aire has a machine where you can dispose of grey water, fill up with fresh and get rid of black waste for a modest charge. You pay at the reception of the campsite opposite, down the road about 100 yards from the water/waste machine pull in & entrance.

We stayed there a couple of years ago and will be back at the first opportunity. We had a pitch right on the sea - windy but wonderful!

Camping La peppiniere in grau d'agde is where we stay when down that way.

A bit out of you way but if you fancy visiting St Tropez and Port Grimaud then there is an aire on the famous beach at Pamplonne, where all the millionaires moor their yachts off the beach during the day. Bridget Bardot country! Easy bus into St Tropez or Port Grimaud and a nice boat trip back from Grimaud For a couple of days out plus beach.

There was also a lac a little inland that lorger stayed on that sounded nice ..
Might have been Rives du lac?
I can’t remember the name but it wouldn’t be suitable for the op as not many shops an restaurant near by, there is some about 20mins walk. We would definitely stay again as it was ideal for us.
