am wanting to fit a solar panel 100w monocrystalline frame type around 42"x 20" size....am looking to spend around £50 to £100 been told RENOGY are good ,,so any one on here have solar panel and there happy with there model and name......

A better controller is normally worth investing in. Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) controllers are claimed to be 30% more efficient.

only if your panels combined are 300 Watts or over.. if its below that, MTTP has no real benefit over PWM.
Also, for the difference in price, you can fit another or bigger panel which will be more effective.

Best value panels at the moment are 250W at around £120 - if you have the room of course.

I recently bought three Renogy panels from Amazon (80w). I would have preferred a single bigger one, but space on the roof is a little awkward. I've only plugged one in so far, but it worked!. I also got a Votronic MPP 250 Duo controller.

I purchased a 150w Renogy panel from Amazon also.

I've been very pleased with the results, running it through a 30amp MPPT.
Intent to put another one on the roof with a tilting mount to maximise the winter sun just as soon as I complete a loooong list of other things to do first.

I’m certainly happy with Renogy’s build quality.

Why?

We use the Victron MPPT units

We have run simultaneous tests with three 100 w quality panels and have extremes of 1.9amp to 4.2 amp from using cheap nasty regulators to the Victron units, and can swap the results from panel to panel by using cheap nasty regulators
