Hi can anyone tell me what size Halfords snow socks I require for a 215/70 R15 tyre. Halfords can not tell me as my personalised plate is not recognised on their website and their on line “expert” can not help with only the tyre. I would shop elsewhere but I am trying to use up a gift voucher.

If you said make and model of mh might help response. Previously have used Roof Box Co side calculator, might give you more information to deal with Halfords. Or check whose make they are selling and check their site

Can you not put the original registration in,or has the personalised number been put on by someone else?

XXL according to the halfords own web page chart:

The Halfords chart shows an XXL chart but they do not make them anymore

It doesn't work for some MHs/large vehicles from what I can tell, ours doesn't come up but our car does.

Our tyres are the same as yours, put our Reg number in and got this list up...

Have you tried the link above but click 'i don't know my reg number' then enter your van details.

It won't make any difference if you look at the products they sell they don't have the XXL available, all the other sizes yes but not that one.

Maybe so, but that will confirm the size either way.
Personally I'd rather have chains as they will run on short stretch's of clear road ( tunnels, underpasses etc), socks will be torn to shreds.

For what it’s worth I put snow socks on our van in Switzerland and not get up a minor incline with snow on. I carry chains now. Although they can be a nuisance to fit they provide a much better grip
