Couple of questions about the Smarty sim 1 anyone using it and are you happy ? 2 can i use a phone sim in a MiFi and or phablet ?
As I am thinking of getting one to try out on an old phone and also changing my wifes network so we have edged our bets on always getting service.

I kept the same wife and went for the Vodafone unlimited data sim which we use in the mifi.

Yes, but PORKSTER wants better service!!! and change his wife.

I wonder if he has learned how to sleep with one eye open. He's braver than me posted what he did:xsurprised:

If ya dont change the wife every now and then how do you know which one was best ?

I like the idea, of the Sim not changing the wife but in Spain we had trouble with a Vodaphone sim so changed to "3" which has been excellent everywhere.

Been using a smarty sim for about 6 months , First couple of months was just trying it out using a mifi and it worked fine , both at home and when out and about in the van . So we then decided to ditch our home broadband and use the smarty sim both for home and when away in van, using their unlimited data deal . Generally it has worked well, with very few non signal situations and we tend to go to quite remote areas at times .

Particularly like the 30 day tems of their business, as it makes it easy to move to any other better deals which may( will ?) come along.

Note that smarty have a fair usage policy of 19gb a month roaming in eu. You have to download the travelling in eu fair useage bit.

Smarty can be used in either a phone or a MiFi device.

You can't put it into a phone/MiFi and activate it through its own connection - you must go online via other means and visit the Smarty website to activate by entering the serial number on their website to create an account.

You can set it up to auto-renew each month, like a contract, or wait for your action like PAYG.

The roll-over data is a bit nonsense as its only on the very small data plans and the '45GB' plan is in fact an 8GB plan with extra data thus once you've used 8GB or more nothing will roll over.

The 100GB or Unlimited plans are good value. If you catch a deal on promotion and set to auto-renew that is your price for 12 months.

19GB EU roaming, partners only like a Three SIM.

Exactly the same sort of scenario as myself would recommend :xThumb:
and in answer to one of Porksters questions, yes the sim card will work in both mobile phone or in a data device.
