We’re on Seaview Caravan site in Seahouses. We love it, especially the leisure facilities. Can anyone recommend any more sites like this one please?

There have been recommendations for Haven sites - especially when they do their out of season specials...

Where are you looking, and what makes Seahouses site special for you?

We like it here because it’s walking distance to the village, shops, pubs, restaurants, harbour and beach. The site is spotless, pitches are spacious and everything is very clean and tidy. There is a laundry room with washing up sinks, washing machine and drier. The leisure facilities are immaculate, there’s a gym, pool, spa, steam room and sauna, all included in the price. We’ve paid £27 a night, which considering what you get seems very reasonable.

The Pinewoods at Wells next the sea is far more expensive and has nothing to recommend it.

We prefer seaside sites.

That's a decent price, when we went it was well over 40 quid for one night, but it was summer though.

We like these sorts of sites out of season. We tend to use the CLs in the summer.

We would recommend the seaside sites from Haven in closed season but there are a few (Reighton especially) we'd give a miss watch out for their special offers especially Burnham on Sea

We went to a Haven site once hated it a bit like an old fashioned working mens club and the toilet blocks were not properly kept. It was 18 years ago when the kids were young and we had a caravan but never been back.

Holgates Silverdale Lancashire imaculate site pool gym restaurant nice walk to village with couple of pubs and onto beach with views across bay to Lake District

I’ve just had a look at their website. It looks lovely but is very expensive. £38 per night plus £5.50 each to use the pool. Is it me or is this rather a lot?
