Hi we've got 7 days to get from Benicassim to Bilbao and thinking of going via Aranjuez?
Has anyone got any recommendations of other good sites or Aires looping round that way please to break the journey up?

Lol, we might be passing you. Arriving Bilbao on Thursday and looking for a good pottering route over to the Med coast.:)

Just worked out where Aranjuez is, we will probably go nearer Zaragoza.

Via Zaragoza is certainly a more direct route we just wanted to explore a bit given we've got some spare time :) Have a good trip

Very disappointed with Aranjuez to be honest.

Wow looks beautiful

The area around Albarracin is very rugged and beautiful, there are many areas like this throughout inland Spain and many towns and villages off the normal tourist routes, but Albarracin is one of the best.

I have never felt comfortable in Spain before but recently have veered off the beaten track and loved it. We are going home through Spain but not the coast as is not my thing so hopefully will find some more hidden gems on the way:)

If you like cities, the free aire in the centre of Vittoria Gastiez is worth a visit.

When are you leaving? We are on B7 12 at Bonterra if you fancy a brew.

Have you seen the vultures at Monfraque? There's a campsite at Malpartida de Placencia https://campingmonfrague.es then drive about 8 miles to Villarreal de San Carlos, plenty of parking and walk to the big rock or the castle (Ruta Roja) and you'll see lots of vultures. There's also parking below the castle for a shorter walk. The site organises birding tours with a local guide.
