Has anyone got experience of transferring Dunlop air assist suspension from a Fiat chassis to an Al-Ko chassis ? Are any parts transferable such as air bags ? I expect you would need to buy some different bits for bolting to chassis . Obviously gauges etc would be ok to move.

Why am i asking ? Well I’m almost ready to order the kit to put on my Fiat chassis and I was just looking to the future if we change to a van on an Al-Ko chassis would I effectively have to buy it all again ?

Too much time on my hands on a Sunday morning ?

I was told they don't exist for my 1999 AlKo tortion bar chassis. ☹️.
I assume you will need a different adaptor for later chassis.

The main change on a fiat chassis is removal of the bump stops to fit the air bags. If you keep them it should only be a matter of screwing the stops back in. UNLESS you get some like mine that snapped off when I tried to remove them.

I underrstand that the Al-Ko chassis needs an entirely different type of air suspension kit. It's also a lot more expensive to install, it would seem.

If you read the catalogue in the post by MikeD you will see that the Fiat Chassis has a Bellows type air bag where the Alko chassis has and "Air Spring" so it looks like the only thing you could transfer are the gauges.
