That thing on the left is the Truma control panel.

To turn it off you press the central knob inwards and hold until OFF appears on the screen. Then release. Job done.

Truma

The fault 507, 516 or 517 appears in the display of the digital control panel CP plus – what must I do?

Remedy fault 507 / 516 / 517 (gas supply interrupted)
  • Restore the gas supply, for example by connecting a full gas cylinder.
  • Then confirm or delete the fault code by tapping the rotary push button. Please note that the first tap might only activate the backlighting of the control panel.
  • The heating then starts automatically if there is a heating requirement.
Note: If the fault 507, 516 or 517 is displayed in the heater's control panel, switching the control panel on and off does not help. This does not delete the fault, but blocks the heater for 15 minutes. The heater is also blocked for 15 minutes if the fault 507, 516 or 517 is deleted four times without the gas supply being established.

Remedying flashing fault 507 / 516 / 517 (gas supply interrupted) The fault code 507, 516 or 517 flashes because the heater is still in a 15-minute blocking time. This was possibly caused by the heater control panel being switched off or because the heater's 12-Volt supply was interrupted. The heater is also blocked for 15 minutes if the displayed fault is deleted four times without the gas supply being restored.
  • Wait out the 15-minute blocking time for the heater. During this time, do not switch off the heater's control panel and also do not interrupt the power supply.
  • As soon as the heater's blocking time has expired, the fault is then displayed permanently rather than flashing. It can now be deleted as described in the point above.

Check what you have the control panel set to use as it's power source. If it's set to gas but gas is off it will throw an error code. Likewise if you have it set to Electric 1 or Electric 2 but you are not on EHU it will throw up an error.

I regularly make the error of leaving it on Electric for heating or hot water and then when I leave a campsite where I have been on EHU I forget to change the setting so it's still trying to access mains power. Hence the errors code.

How I hate Truma Control Panels. Fiddle with it, turn it, press it, press it, turn it. press it again, wrong icon flashing, turn it, overshoot, it goes off but is it on, press it... swear.

How about a nice bit of machine cut aluminum nicely engraved with what's what and lit rocker switches for every option, so much better for the likes of me.

I don't know how to tell the boss this, but they've started putting air in tyres now too. :ROFLMAO: ;);)

Agree re the Truma control. Anyone used the app? Is it worth it?

Does anyone know if Truma ever update their firmware on the Combi 6 ??
This Truma fault is so annoying! Code 517 means .....we have changed the gas bottle or run out of gas so gas pressure is low.
It times itself out on the panel for 15 minutes and then you have to go mining to find the boiler, pull off a plastic cover, find an orange/red LED then find a well-hidden button, push it to hard reset the system......

Changing a gas bottle is such a regular occurrence, shouldn't the Truma system allow for it in a less technical way?

Hire firms must be doing their nut, as talking someone through the rigmarole is really tricky. Rant over.

Hi, these new panels are the work of the devil! They are stupid, not you. The older panel with the summer/winter settings and the separate energy selection worked so well. Why oh why has Truma made a system that throws a fit every time you run it without switching the 240v on or the gas bottle on?????? Bewilderingly stupid.
