Sorry Kate can't manage this one ...l think mabe the reason there is a lack of commitment to this rally is that so many funsters have pets with them and wouldn't want to leave them in the van ..... although I know quite a lot of those who have their names down do have dogs. Good luck hope you get the extra numbers required soon x

Just a though Kate @Ambilkate , but if each single or couple that is coming (26) agreed to pay for another VIP ticket (£10 extra) we would be able to buy 26+47 = 73 VIP tickets. Would that be enough?

It's an option we could look at I suppose. I don't know if Jan is putting the money the camping would bring into the equation as well though. . It would make it a tad expensive for us. Will give it some thought xxx

thats the trouble when a certain amount of numbers are needed. hopefully you can renegotiate with the site. After all their can't be too many groups wanting a winter weekend. Fingers crossed for you x

@Ambilkate I am sure we all really appreciate your hard efforts as usual in getting sufficient numbers to reach the "minimum requirement" laid down by The Shrewsbury Showground management of selling 70VIP tickets to secure the venue and the use of the VIP room, and I wish you every success in getting there, and hope you can achieve this target.
You already have 50+ VIP tickets sold, and I hope some more will join in, but I have to ask the question to Shrewsbury Showground why 70 VIP tickets as a minimum?, we have 50+ already, if we fail in reaching 70, who else is going to replace us?

Surely a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush?

Good luck, I hope this will be a goer for all that wish to attend, surely all "Funster Members" should be recognised as VIP,s whether they attend Shrewsbury or not, and the£15 Fun subscription lasts a whole year!

I advertised this on the Morning Funsters thread. Some said “ it’s too far to go for a weekend” . Someone else said “ you can stay at Shrewsbury as long as you want”. So it might be worth saying here that if anybody wants to come, but the weekend is too short, then they can stay longer. Will that get any more “takers”?

Shrewsbury town centre is only a short walk from the showground and walking in you pass the railway station for excursions. You are also not far from Telford with Dave Newell, a good Calor depot with refilling facilities and the excellent Blists Hill Museum with a huge car park.

Hi thanks will be sorting this out at the end of the week, we have been away only got back midday today and Amanda is in hospital tomorrow for a procedure so give me a few days and hopefully by Friday I will sort list and find out about deposits etc.
