Shell Island anyone ?

Thinking of doing Shell Island for a week in September starting the 11th

We will now arrive on the 8th and stay till the 13th ( due to daughter in law letting work get in the way.. Silly girl ! )

We’ve been once, no defined pitches, no EHU of which I’m aware, there were a couple of shops and a pub/cafe onsite. Best to go outside of school hols. Maybe have a chat with Carol who knows it far better than me.

There are no hook ups, but there is fresh water, toilet dump. toilets, showers ( nice too ! ) and dotted around are usually fire pits ( actully old washing machine tubs which make top notch fire pits you can grab and take to where you are pitched.
Sunsets are to die for, and if you have you sea legs jump on a fishing trip.. bring home your haul, prep them and cook them on your fire
We have had the best times of all our travels there

I left this weekend, shell Island is a wonderful place if you avoid Bank hols and the pot heads.

11th sept should be goodm just afetr schools go back, im a bit of a last minute guy but would love to see you there. Will let you know about a wekk before.
Which field are you thinking...pleeeease say turn right as you go in

Shell Island is very special as long as you go when there are no school holidays and the weather is reasonable, there is no where better. There are no Rallys or groups allowed but as friends we can meet up.
