Hi everyone, just bought a 2011 Elddis Majestic 145 a few days ago specifically as it was a 4 Berth with 4 belts …. But when we sat down in the two rear passenger seats and tried out the seat belts we were surprised and puzzled that they did not fit ! We are average sized humans. Surely 4 belts means children AND adults? Scratching our heads currently as it seems that seat belt extenders are illegal? We are stumped 🤔 Anyone else had this problem?

Welcome!
Are the two seats the ‘hideaway’ types under the benches….?

edit: no, you have a dinette I believe. Sorry.

Check they aren’t caught up, or wrapped around the frame. We’ve wrapped ours around the frames to keep out the way as we don’t need them.

I think if you install longer belts professionally it’s counted as a ‘modification’ so will be faf with insurance re registering ?

Does anyone else have an Autoquest 145 ?

Will check again Landy Andy …. but 99 percent they are too short ! Would be ok for a 3 year old … this is why we are so puzzled ..

All the reviews I’ve read say ‘rear belts suitable for adults or children’…….no mention of them being short (but did they try them??) - so are they caught up on something like the frame, etc.?

edit: as Landy Andy said!;)

I had exactly the same problem with my dinette seatbelts. I found some extenders which clip in to the existing belts and solved my problem. Can’t remember the exact make but I’m sure Google should help. Just make sure you get the ones that are compatible with your existing seatbelts - there are a couple of different types.
