I have a roller team sirio with a few water ingress issues. Soon I’ll be stripping it out and finding the exact causes of the leaks (it’s not dripping on wet walls, but there is water damage in the walls behind the covering material) but in the short I’m looking for a sealant to cover the roof fittings with to stop anymore water getting in. Any ideas for suggestions gratefully received. Current thoughts include silkaflex 522, or a ‘lap sealant’ that seems to be popular in the states.

I’m new to the forum and looking forward to tapping into your experience

I think it will depend on the type of leak and the size.
Eternabond tape is used by a lot of USA RV type roofs with good results apparently.
A friend had a MH with the pitted aluminium that corrosion had occured in many of the pits causing multiple leaks.
He used tanking sealant on it that is normally used for tanking wet rooms.
That was a few years ago and still all good.
But if you can identify where the leak is it may be a much more localised solution ?

I have just taped the joins with eternabond tape, easy to use but the area must be clean, I used meths. Not cheap the tape was £60 for 20 mt

Thanks folks. There’s a couple of problems in a couple of places on the edge seals. There’s been a bump at one point and it has some natural water gathering spots due to rubbish design in others. Unfortunately they are glued on one side and screwed on the other, so taking them off and remasticing is beyond me and would be very costly. Im thinking of going with eternabond tape along the lengths of the roof on the inside (flat roof side) and then silkaflex along the vertical side.
